  Mr. Mike E, I want to thank you for your amazing customer service in purchasing my dream car (2026 Volkswagen Golf R). There was no funny business and you made me and my parents feel very trusting that you had our best interest in mind throughout the entire process. This was a big purchase for me and I’m very grateful that fate brought you my way as my sales associate for this big purchase. Also to add, staff was very friendly and the process was very quick and straight forward. Thank you Mike and smith Volkswagen!!!! I’m loving my golf R more than you know!!!

  Had a great experience at Smith Volkswagen. Mike DiLeonardo showed me all the ins and outs of the VW Tiguan Sel R Turbo. Unfortunately he didn't have the color that I wanted but he promised that one would come in shortly. Mike kept his promise and some time later we came in and there it was. A deal was made and we drove home in a brand new car. I wanted to have some upgrades and within a week Mike called back and now I'm set. Very happy customer!

  Unfortunately, my experience with Smith Volkswagen was extremely disappointing. I visited the dealership as a serious buyer for an Atlas SEL Premium R- Line and spent time discussing numbers, options, and next steps, but the process quickly became frustrating due to poor communication, confusion around the payment structure, and a complete lack of follow-up afterward. From Monday evening into Tuesday evening, my emails went unanswered while I was actively trying to move forward on the vehicle as I had questions that unanswered. What made the experience even more surprising was later being told by the sales manager that I had not even test driven the vehicle I came in to buy/interested in when I absolutely did. That level of disconnect was honestly astonishing as a customer ready to do business. Throughout this process, even sales representatives from completely different car brands consistently followed up daily while we were trying to determine which vehicle make/model best fit our family’s needs. And once we told them we went a different direction they respected that. Those are the ones who I would refer to family/friends. Not Smith VW..... In today’s market and economy, every customer who walks into a dealership should feel valued and feel like their business matters not left waiting days for communication while trying to move forward on a purchase. Because of that experience, we ultimately found another nearby VW dealership that was responsive, communicative, transparent, and focused on customer service. Which we picked up our Atlas SEL Premium R-Line (Captain Seats) through them instead. Communication and customer experience matter just as much as the vehicle itself, and unfortunately Smith Volkswagen completely missed the mark for us. Good Luck for any buyers that might want to visit Smith VW, but sometimes a couple of miles south or north makes a complete difference in experience and actually values your time. I will not even give Smith my business for maintenance on the vehicle I bought elsewhere based on the experience, and I will drive to either downstate or over the line into PA to a VW dealer that values customers. Smith VW does not.

  Service center pricing is 50% more than other quality, local service centers. Their "packages" position themselves as cost saving, but really they're just listing out services that are routinely done for free at other service centers. The men at the desk who quote pricing are condescending, especially to women. "I wish you luck finding a better price elsewhere"... well, I did. And you all should too! Milenio auto group in Wilmington did an amazing job for a good price. I recommend you go there instead. Also they quoted $200 to assess a entertainment system issue that was solved with a new USB cable for $5. Just... steer clear friends.

  I ended up buying a used certified 2025 tiguan with 4900 miles from these guys. 500ft from the dealership the dash lights up with a bunch of warnings. Take it right back and they tell me sensors got wet from the pressure washer. A week later same warning lights come on and back to the dealer it goes. The fix was front camera replacement. A week later same lights come on again. Back to the dealer again for the 3rd time and they tell me the windshield and sensors were dirty and they need to be clean all the time. 24hrs later and less than 40 miles the same warning lights come on again. Now they say waiting on software update. So now I cant sell car to carmax without losing more money because of warning lights. I will say they did give me a loaner car limited to 40 miles a day smh. Beyond frustrated. I will never ever buy from Smith VW again. I've had over 80 cars in my life and I've never left a review but this here is total nonsense. Stay away from this dealership and VW in general.
