I had a disappointing and overwhelming experience while attempting to purchase a used Camry from this dealership. I originally spoke with a salesperson who told me the vehicle was at another location and would be brought to Wilmington for my scheduled appointment. When I arrived, I was initially told they could not locate the driver and I was sent home. Shortly afterward, another employee called asking where I was and told me the vehicle had been there the whole time, so I returned and test drove it.
I liked the car and was genuinely interested in purchasing it. However, I explained that my current vehicle was at a repair shop with a failed transmission and that I wanted to determine its trade-in value and understand my financing/payment options before making a decision. I was told my vehicle was worth nothing without anyone seeing or appraising it.
During the conversation, I was also told that the Camry had been sold online and needed to be returned to the other location, but that they could still sell it to me that day if I made a decision. When I asked what my monthly payment might be, I was told they couldn’t give me that information without running my credit. At that point I felt overwhelmed by the situation and chose to leave without purchasing the vehicle.
What bothered me afterward was receiving a voicemail two days later in the evening saying, “we weren’t trying to push you” and “I know you weren’t really ready to buy a car.” I had never accused anyone of pressuring me, nor had I said I wasn’t ready to purchase a vehicle. I simply left because I wasn’t comfortable making a major financial decision without having the information I needed.
I understand dealerships need to sell vehicles and that financing requires a credit application for exact terms. However, as someone who came in genuinely interested in buying a car, I left feeling that my questions and concerns were secondary to getting me to make a decision that day. The experience ultimately made me decide to continue my car search elsewhere.
I had a great experience at the dealership, and Troy Mayer was absolutely amazing to work with! He was friendly, professional, patient, and made the entire car-buying process so easy and stress-free. Troy took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure I felt comfortable with my decision without ever making me feel pressured. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and wants them to have a great experience. I would definitely recommend Troy Mayer and this dealership to anyone looking for a new vehicle. I’m so happy with my experience!
Unfortunately, a very unpleasant and disappointing experience (and perhaps illegal one) with Mr. Sahady, sales manager. He unilaterally cancelled a sale and refunded the deposit after we waited for a car for almost two months. His only excuse was he could not deliver it within 48 hours, the dealership's policy. That to me, who was/is suffering from pneumonia and on medication. Salesman Flores was doing all the right things because the car that came in did not have all the installed packages that were ordered, an $1,124 difference in price that Mr. Sahady did not discount on the price agreement sheet. Eddie was coordinating with parts department to order the necessary parts for installation at a later date with a promisory note, He was ready to deliver the car himself and do the paperwork electronically. Apparently, the overzealous manager, perhaps frantically, cancelled the sale by returning the $3,000 deposit the dealership held for two months unilaterally without authorization or notice. The only motive that can be gleaned by his inexcusable actions is that he was either trying to renege on the $2,000 discount provided by another sales manager at our dealmaking back in July, or wanted to sell the car to someone else. What a shame and a bad mark for what appears to be an otherwise good dealership.

This is the second vehicle I have purchased from this dealership, and five years later, the experience remains nothing short of 5-star.
Luis Cardona is an outstanding salesperson and a true professional. Although the vehicle I originally intended to purchase was sold shortly before my arrival, Luis went above and beyond to help me find another vehicle that met my needs. I am extremely happy with my purchase.
Luis and I had been communicating for several months regarding RXs, and I was pleased that we were ultimately able to make another deal together. What impressed me most was that Luis remembered me from months earlier. That level of personal attention and relationship-building is what sets a great salesperson apart.
I truly appreciate the time, effort, and professionalism Luis provided throughout the entire process. I will absolutely be returning to him for my next vehicle purchase and would highly recommend Luis Cardona to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and customer-focused salesperson.

If I could give zero stars I would.
I really needed a new family vehicle after having my 3rd child. I was freshly postpartum & on maternity leave & everyone at Lexus seemed amazing when I was interested in buying the van. I was promised carpets/floor mats by my sales person because he saw the van didn’t have any while handing me the keys. He apologized & said he’d get those ordered for me right away. (I never got them or ever heard anything else about them-shocker!) As soon as I brought it home I found an issue with the back seat. I contacted Lexus & they told me to bring it back in. I went in with my newborn and waited 2 hours before someone came up to me & said “not going to lie I completely forgot you were here.” K no problem. I was told they needed to order a piece & bring the vehicle back when it gets in. I get a call the piece is in they scheduled me for the next day. Said it should only take an hour. Again, I bring it in with my baby waiting over an hour & a half for them to say they don’t know how to fix it, no work was done, & I needed to take it to Honda to determine if under warranty. Their Honda was all the way in bel air & I asked what the benefit of that? “There is none.” So I could go to any Honda. So I went to one that was not their sister store but the one in Wilmington. Charged $160 to be told it’s not covered under warranty. Call Lexus again & they said sorry i don’t know why you were told that, you have to take it to our sister store in bel air. Cool. This is now 7 hours wasted with a baby. Finally set up to drop the car at Lexus & they would drive it down to their Honda for me & bring it back once fixed. They had my car for 3 weeks. I get a call it’s back but now the OTHER seat is broken. Lexus finally agreed to give me a loaner. Drive back to Lexus to get the loaner. The next day I get a call all is fixed & I can get my car back, but they’ll bring me my car & pick up the loaner so I don’t have to waste my time yet again going back to Lexus for the 7th time. I was working & in a meeting so I didn’t even speak to the person who dropped it off. They conveniently left it in the driveway parked where I would only ever see the driver side of the car not the passenger side. After receiving my car back, I have multiple spots of damage on the front passenger side bumper, hood & wheel well. No one said anything to me, hid it, & are now trying to say “it must’ve happened in a crowded parking lot or something.” I had not even moved or driven the car from where they dropped it off to me when I found the damage. The only crowded parking lot the van could’ve possibly been in is theirs! The video from Honda when they first took my car in had a full inspection video done which clearly shows I turned it in with NO DAMAGE which I provided to Lexus to prove the damage did not exist before they took it. They said they reviewed their camera’s & “can’t see any damage” from when they pulled it out to bring to me. I requested the footage because I know for a fact this did not happen in my possession-not possible when I didn’t even touch or move it. The photos I sent them of the damage have location services which shows it was at the same place they dropped it off to me. The video “proof” they sent me is extremely grainy & yet I still can clearly see the reflection of the light off where ONE of the dents are & the inner wheel well piece hanging down which proves the damage was there BEFORE they brought it back to me. It has been a nightmare since I bought this car - completely outright mind you. & have been unable to drive it for longer than I’ve owned it! No one wants to spend $40K on a new vehicle to be DAMAGED!! Lexus is trying to take no fault. I’m already out the $160 from going to the wrong Honda when I was told I would NOT be responsible for fixing the seats since they sold me the car with the broken seat. Then they damage my vehicle & refuse to take any responsibility.
