    I had a great experience buying a certified preowned RX350 last week. The process began with Luis Cardona, who took me to test drive several cars. He is amazing at explaining everything you need to know about driving a Lexus. Once deciding to purchase my car, I met Troy Mayer and his team. They were a pleasure to work with and made the entire process easy, stress-free, as well as making me feel very comfortable and like family.     I had an outstanding experience purchasing my 2026 BMW 430i xDrive from Lexus of Wilmington. From start to finish, everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Jacob went above and beyond by taking the time to personally video the car for me before I made the trip, which gave me complete peace of mind. When I arrived, the car was exactly as described and in amazing condition. DJ was fantastic to work with as well—, he listened to my budget, got me to the payment I was looking for, and made sure I had great protection plans for my new BMW. The entire staff was welcoming and attentive, always offering water and making sure I was comfortable throughout the process.     I am giving Lexus of Wilmington 5 stars despite having one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had in all my years of purchasing vehicles. My sales representative, Marty, was, in my opinion, terrible. I came into the dealership knowing exactly what I wanted to see and test drive. From the beginning, it seemed like he had little interest in actually selling me a car. After I explained that I had a trade-in and what vehicle I was interested in, his first question was whether my husband knew I was looking for a car. Strike one. I’m not sure why that was relevant either way. After sitting at the dealership for a couple of hours while my vehicle was being appraised and paperwork was being processed, I asked where my car was because I wanted to retrieve a beverage. After all that waiting and talking, you get thirsty. I was told my vehicle was parked way down the street. During that entire time, I was never offered a complimentary water or any of the basic courtesies typically extended to customers. Strike two. When we were unable to come to a fair agreement regarding the sale, I was prepared to walk away. Surprisingly, Marty didn’t seem bothered at all. I found that odd, considering I assumed the purpose of a salesperson’s role is to sell cars. Despite the poor customer service I received from Marty, I had the opportunity to speak with the sales manager, Drew. He went above and beyond to persuade me to give him a few more minutes to work out a deal that I would be comfortable with. Drew was kind, attentive, honest, and quite frankly the reason this deal was completed. Darren, the finance manager, was also fantastic. After everything was finalized and I was preparing to leave, the sales representative was nowhere to be found. We never even received a thank you. That was strike three and ultimately the reason for this review. Fortunately, I’m not the type of person who believes one bad apple spoils the bunch, because if I were, this sale never would have happened. I truly appreciate Drew and Darren for their professionalism and outstanding customer service. They turned an otherwise disappointing experience into a successful purchase. I sincerely hope Drew received the commission he deserved because he did the work that ultimately closed the deal.

    I’m going to be completely honest and brief. I purchased a Lexus in 2002 in philadelphia and I took it to this dealership for service in 2002. I also took it for service in 2003 and both times I was disappointed with the way I was treated and just the overall process, so I never went back. Fast forward to Tuesday June 9, 2026 me and my wife walked in this dealership prepared to purchase a vehicle with cash provided my wife likes the vehicle and it passes my little inspection that I do. I told the receptionist, we wanted to look at four cars, I explained to her that we just wanted to start them, lift the hood and look around them inside and out and under the four vehicles we had picked out which was two Lexus vehicles, an Acura and a Mercedes benz. The receptionist told us someone will be with us and guess what? we just sat there, and eventually the manager said he was trying to find somebody to help us, despite the fact that we were looking at a bunch of employees just talking and relaxing, at least the ones not occupied with a customer. We sat there and then we left and the manager came out and attempted to rectify the situation but it was too late for us. So we believe because I said I just wanted to start the four cars and take a look around them and I also mentioned I wasn’t making a purchase today, nobody wanted to help us but I had $35,000 in cash on me, which they didn’t know, and my wife had two other cars she wanted to see at another dealership before she made a final decision. I knew for a fact she was going to pick one of the Lexus vehicles she had picked out at the Lexus of Wilmington dealership, I’m 110 % sure because we had a few and she always liked the lexus luxury feeling and smoothness driving. The Lexus we drove to the Lexus of wilmington dealership was hers and the plan was for me to take that one and get her a newer lexus. So in closing she picked another quality car that was very mechanically sound and well maintenance at a Mercedes Benz dealership. I personally don’t recommend doing business at Wilmington of Lexus because it’s just organized confusion. I posted a picture of the vehicle my wife did pick at another dealership.
