Horrible customer service. Hidden rental policies that they only apply when it’s convenient to them. Pick only place if you need rent.

John is a disrespectful, rude employee he did not help in any way. I have rented from this store for almost 20 years. And I will never return again.

Picking up the vehicle was fairly straightforward as I had a reservation through my credit card. The vehicle I received was in good condition, with no foul orders or noticeable damage to the vehicle. It did take some time to get the vehicle as there were only one or two staff members. When I returned the vehicle, I also had the same issue of having to wait, but the person checking the vehicle back in was extremely nice and apologized for the wait. The reason I’m deducting a star is due to the parking situation. I’m certain most visitors don’t have personal vehicles. However, I usually rent a car when I’m driving out of state. Parking was a nightmare because there was limited space for people to be dropped off or for someone to wait for them. On top of that, there were cars being checked out and checked in.

Warning to Anyone Considering Renting from Enterprise in New Castle, Delaware My experience with Enterprise in New Castle, Delaware was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this location to anyone. I found charges and add-ons on my rental that I did not authorize, and when I tried to explain that I already had my own insurance coverage, I felt like my concerns were ignored. Instead of working with me to resolve the issue, I was treated disrespectfully and spoken to in an unprofessional manner. Based on my experience, it felt like customer service was not a priority. I left feeling taken advantage of rather than valued as a customer. If you’re considering renting from this Enterprise location, I encourage you to carefully review every document before signing and double-check your final bill before leaving. Ask questions about every charge and don’t assume anything has been explained. This review is simply to warn others about my experience so they can make an informed decision. I will not be renting from this location again. I want to make other customers aware of my experience with Enterprise. Please review your rental agreement carefully before signing anything. In my case, I already informed the representative that I had my own insurance coverage, yet additional protection products were still added to my rental. Customers should never be charged for optional coverage they did not request or believed they had declined. I strongly encourage everyone to review every charge before leaving the counter and ask questions about anything that appears on the agreement. Transparency and honesty should be standard when renting a vehicle, and customers should not have to worry about paying for unnecessary add-ons. I hope Enterprise takes these concerns seriously and improves its practices so other customers don’t have a similar experience. Is

I'm not surprised that every review is 1 star for this Enterprise location. This was the worst experience ever. Derrick working at the desk was extremely rude to me and my son. There was a claim already in the system which was prepaid to provide a rental car to me and to be picked up at this location specifically. Upon arrival there was no one at the desk and then waited 2 hours in the waiting room (totally unacceptable) just to be told that he wasn't going to give me a car because "all he had was a Mercedes and he wasn't going to give that to me." I told him I had a contract to rent a car that has already been paid for and this is a breech of contract. He said he didn't care. So apparently they don't have to honor contracts nor do they have to treat their customers with respect. They suffer no consequences. And I am sure I am going to get the same auto response that every other reviewer has gotten. It allows this company to continue illegal business and pretend like they care. Derrick should be fired for the way he talked to me and the fact that he did not give me a car even though I had a rental contract. This was unreal that a company can get away with completely illegal business just because they are so large they know they are untouchable. On top of that they are training their employees to treat customers disrespectfully for no reason. I was there to pick up a car. I shouldn't have been yelled at by the desk attendant and told that he didn't care that there wasn't a car there for me. What a disgrace. I will never ever rent from Enterprise again. Really, why would anyone willingly choose to do business with a place if you are treated terribly, yelled at and not provided the service that you paid for? .......cue the pathetic phoney auto-response from Enterprise and prove to everyone that your company does not care about customer service, otherwise you would have a legit response and you would actually do something to address the issue. UPDATE - And just as predicted, there is the auto-response from Enterprise pretending to address the issue. Yes by all means, inconvenience me even more than you already have by asking me to call you so I can sit on hold for hours only to speak to a call center in India. It's called Basic Standards, Enterprise. You should look into it.
