  The Waterbury Enterprise location is great. The employees on the day of pick-up were exhibiting great patience and friendliness. I had to wait for the van I was renting to be returned and cleaned, so I witnessed a number of other customers' transactions and was impressed at how calm and patient the employees were with everyone during a very busy time. I respected the way they interacted with a customer returning a damaged vehicle and another customer whose rental choice was unavailable. The van I rented was clean, had great gas mileage, and was comfortable. The process of picking up the van and getting additional insurance coverage was easy and booking through Costco Travel was simple and user-friendly. I received a call from the location on the morning of our return confirming we would be dropping off that day. Returning the van was also great-- the employee was training a new employee and they did a thorough check of the van before confirming final details and sending me a receipt. Overall, all the employees I interacted with were kind and helpful and the rental process from reserving to picking up to returning was simple!

  Horrible customer service. They will give your reservation to someone else and waste your time. I was there for almost an hour just for them to tell me my reservation was given to someone else.

  This was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. We reserved a pickup truck at the Waterbury location with a scheduled pickup time of 12:00 PM. Thankfully, we arrived at 11:45 AM because we discovered that this location actually closes at noon on Sundays. After waiting in line for 30 minutes, we were finally told that they did not even have a pickup truck available. Instead, they tried to offer us a 15-passenger van, which is nowhere close to an equivalent replacement for what we had reserved. What made the situation even more frustrating was that no one from the location contacted us beforehand to let us know our reserved vehicle was unavailable. Had they called, we could have made other arrangements and avoided wasting our time. When we contacted customer service, they confirmed that the location should have reached out to us regarding the lack of available vehicles—but they never did. The Waterbury location also made no effort to offer a reasonable alternative or help us find another pickup truck. As a result, we were forced to rent from Bradley International Airport at the last minute and ended up paying approximately $300 more in additional fees. The lack of communication, poor customer service, and failure to honor a confirmed reservation made this an incredibly frustrating experience. I would not recommend this location.

  We had reservation through Cosco three weeks in advance for a Ford Explorer at East Main Street Enterprise Rent -A- Car in Waterbury. We were informed to pick up car at 12 pm on Sunday. When we got there we passed a young blonde hair representative who was renting out a car. When we got to the door of the Enterprise Rent- A -Car the doors were locked with six people inside. I noticed by my cell phone that the time was 11:50 am. Another couple also came by and I told them the doors were locked as they went by me. They told me they came Saturday and were told to come back Sunday at 12:00 pm. The young lady was returning to the Enterprise and I told her we passed by you, but the doors were closed before 12:00 pm. She said she will see what she can do. I never saw the Ford Explorer in the lot. She never came back and disappeared trough the back door. By this time all the people that were inside received their cars. This behavior was disrespectful to tell us to report at 12pm and then don't come back to confront us. The other couple stood there arguing as my wife and I left. I would never recommend Enterprise to friends and family. I gave it a one star, but if it was possible -5 Star. Once again I don't recommend anyone to rent a car from Enterprise Rent-A -Car unless you like being lied to and disrespected.

  My recent experience with Enterprise was mixed. The staff was pleasant, professional, and easy to work with throughout the rental process, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, the vehicle itself was disappointing. I was provided a Mitsubishi Mirage, which felt outdated, underpowered, and much smaller than expected. The vehicle’s performance was poor, and the overall driving experience did not match the price I paid. Many of the features felt dated, and the value simply wasn’t there for the cost of the rental. Additionally, the hold placed on my debit card was an inconvenience, and the lack of available vehicle options left little room to choose something better suited to my needs. While the customer service was excellent, the quality and value of the vehicle fell well short of expectations. I hope Enterprise will continue to improve its fleet offerings and provide customers with more options that better reflect the price being charged.
