Although they were shortstaffed the morning, I picked up my vehicle and thereby was not properly shown the features of my vehicle making for Rough travel, there was great kindness shown upon the return of the vehicle and the ride given to me back to my home, which I was in desperate need of. I will definitely go to this enterprise again. I was very pleased with the vehicle itself. I named her Gretchen.

Under any circumstances DO NOT go to this location if you are BLACK OR OF AFRICAN AMERICAN DECENT. The assistant manager Ayman Elsherbini was being very discriminatory towards me when in no way shape or form was being rude to him. I explained something they did before or accepted before so they can understand what i was speaking of and because of this he refused me a car and told me i wasn't getting any cars from them. I walked out and left it because im not going to have anyone paint me in a light that is not accurate but DO NOT GIVE THIS BRANCH YOUR MONEY AS LONG HE WORKS THERE. All other employees i had zero issues with. He was off the wall. These type of people need to be held accountable now

This was my first time renting a car, and while the pickup process itself was smooth, the overall experience left me extremely disappointed.
To be fair, the staff were helpful during the rental process, especially since I had some complications with my debit card and proof of address because I split time between two states. I appreciated that they worked through that with me.
The issue came when I reviewed my receipt. I rented the vehicle for two days while my own car was in the shop, and because I work an hour from home, I had to return it after hours, about 30 minutes after the location closed. I made that clear when making the reservation, the reservation reflected a two-day charge, and no one at any point explained that returning the car after hours could result in an additional day being charged.
What made this especially frustrating was how the charge was handled. The extra day was not presented to me directly as a clear new charge that I could review and question in the moment. Instead, it was processed through the incidental authorization already on file. That made it feel even less transparent. When a fee is folded into an incidental hold rather than clearly presented as a direct charge with an explanation, it becomes much easier for a customer to miss until after the fact. Whether intentional or not, that creates the impression that the fee is being slipped through in a way that draws less attention than it should.
That is really the core issue for me: not simply that there was an extra charge, but that it was not clearly disclosed beforehand and then was processed in a way that made it less obvious. If this is standard policy, it should be plainly communicated when the customer books, when the customer picks up the vehicle, or when the customer states in advance that they will need to return it after hours. That is not an unreasonable expectation.
In everyday life, businesses disclose timing-based fees like this all the time. For example, if a parking garage is going to charge you for an additional day because you exit after a certain cutoff time, that is usually posted clearly at the entrance, on the ticket, or at the payment machine. Customers are told what triggers the added cost. They are not expected to discover it only after the charge has already been processed. That is why this experience felt deceptive. Clear disclosure of added costs is a basic part of fair business practice.
I was eventually able to get my money back, but the experience left a very bad impression. What bothered me most was not just the charge itself, but the lack of transparency around it and the dismissive response I received when I called to question it. Because of that, I will not be renting from Enterprise again.

I would definitely use Torrington Enterprise if I had to rent a car again the service was absolutely top notch here the two gentlemen I encountered here were definitely at the top of their game I had a problem with one car the key fob and they immediately fixed the issue without any hesitation they were both wonderful and I would definitely use this place again the service was great their personalities were great and I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience was at the Torrington Enterprise
