Dishonest pricing. Incorrect battery installed in car. Now car won't start and they aren't willing to make it right as we have requested! On 9/25/26 we brought our 2018 Chrysler Pacific into the shop because it wouldn't start. We were told our main battery was dead and they would go to O'Reilly's to get the battery and replace it that same day. The price they quoted for the battery itself, $449, seemed a little high but at the time I wasn't sure and didn't think to check right away. They were telling us they were getting the 4 year warranty premium battery that would last much longer than a 3 year battery. They replaced the battery and we got the car back. When we got the car back the car still seemed a little off and the Start/Stop light was on, indicating that feature wasn't functioning properly, making me think the auxiliary battery might also not be good. Fast forward to yesterday 10/4/26 our car won't start (this is a little over a week later). When I went to put jumper cables up to the battery I realized it was the WRONG battery. My car has a start/stop system and requires an AGM battery. They put in a Midstate Battery (flooded battery) that isn't meant for my vehicle. So now I have a vehicle that won't start again, has the wrong battery, and possibly driving with this battery has caused additional damage to the alternator or who knows what else! I also called O'Reilly auto parts and asked them how much my main battery cost and they said $264.99. Meaning, the Village Auto Repair dealer overcharged me by almost $200 for the battery itself! And then, didn't even put in the right battery and potentially damaged my vehicle. When I called the Village Auto Repair, first, they wouldn't let me speak to the owner initially and said he wouldn't be able to get back to me until Wednesday, and then they argued with me about the price of the battery, and said "their system" says this O'Reilly Battery (they read to me the exact name and price) is $449.00, completely defending their overprice of the battery. I requested they not only replace my main battery with the correct one, but also replace the Auxiliary battery (which only costs $164 from O'Reilly) since I PAID $449 - which is STILL MORE than the main battery and auxiliary battery together. I also asked them to check that the alternator wasn't damaged because of all this. We came at a standstill because they were unable to (1) get me in contact with the owner right away and they were unwilling to (2) replace both batteries for the price they initially charged me. I feel this was extremely dishonest pricing, horrible customer service, and clearly they put the wrong battery in the car so just beware! You might not even get what you pay for and have your vehicle screwed up even more. I'm attaching a receipt showing my purchase, and a picture of the WRONG battery in my vehicle as proof, along with the price of battery at O'Reilly - which they said at the time they were going to make the purchase! You can see that the main battery and auxiliary battery together with 4 year warranty still only costs 429.98 - which again is still LESS then what they charged me for just ONE main, battery.
