messed up my audi Q5. non existent customer service. i reached out to customer service twice and still no response. They messed up all the sensors in the car and wasted so much of my time.
I guess you can afford to suck when Geico is cutting all your checks, instead of the customers themselves having to pay.

Writing this so you can learn from the mistakes from Safelight's process and avoid the headache and hassle...
It took four separate visits to replace my windshield. Here's what happened and, more importantly, what I'd tell anyone else booking with them so you don't have to go through what I did.
Visit 1: They called me as I was pulling into their lot at my appointment time to say the glass had arrived damaged and they couldn't install it. I then rescheduled a week out.
Visit 2: Dropped the car off at my appointment time and paid for an Uber home. An hour later they called to say my glass had never been delivered at all. Another Uber back to pick up the car I'd just dropped off and another week out appointment.
Visit 3: This time I called BEFORE my appointment to make sure first they even had my glass and second it wasn't damaged, after they checked I drove over, paid for another round of Ubers. About a week later once we got some rain I realized they never recalibrated my rain-sensing wipers, so the automatic setting didn't work. Now another appointment to get that fixed.
Visit 4: They fixed the sensor calibration and, and I asked they physically spray water on the windshield to test everything before I drove away again.
Here's things I'd do differently, and recommend to anyone booking here.
1. Call that day before your appointment and ask them to physically confirm your glass is on-site and undamaged. Two of my four visits were wasted because nobody verified the part before I showed up. That's the gap in their process, and until they close it, you have to close it yourself.
2. Before you drive off, have them spray water on the windshield and test your rain-sensing wipers. You'd figure they would test this themselves without being asked but no.
The failure is in scheduling and parts verification, and the cost of that lands entirely on you, the customer — in wasted trips, ride fares, and rearranged work days.

I brought my 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser in for a windshield replacement in May. When I got my car back I noticed the sound of a screw sliding around somewhere inside the rain sensor housing. Also, the trim at the base of the windshield was improperly installed on one side, and broken/falling off on the other side. I brought the car back in to have the screw properly secured inside of the housing and to have the trim repaired. The screw was repaired and I was told they needed to order the trim from Toyota. 2.5 weeks later I received a call saying the trim was in and ready to be installed. I returned to Safelite (now my 3rd trip) only to discover they ordered the wrong trim. I was not notified until I got to the location for my appointment.
It has been 3 months since the initial repair and they still have not gotten the simple piece of trim to complete the fix. The people in the store have been nice, but the entire operation could not be more disorganized. Customer service is nonexistent. I will never return to Safelite for any reason, and I will encourage everyone I know to do the same. What should have been a simple repair has turned into a 3 month waste of time, with more to come.

I brought my 2019 Subaru Legacy in for a windshield replacement in October 2025. After the installation, I was told my safety cameras would not recalibrate. I returned at least three separate times, wasting hours of my time, while different technicians attempted to fix the issue with no success.
It wasn’t until May 2026 that a higher-level team member finally discovered that during the original pre-scan in October 2025, there was already a fault code related to my cameras. Not a single technician communicated this to me from the very beginning. Had someone simply explained what the pre-scan showed, it could have saved me months of frustration, multiple unnecessary appointments, and countless hours of my time.
The lack of communication throughout this entire experience was unacceptable. Instead of being transparent, I was repeatedly asked to come back without anyone identifying or explaining the real problem.
This was an incredibly frustrating experience, and I have completely lost confidence in Safelite. I will never use them again, and I would not recommend them to anyone looking for quality service or honest communication.
