  I just spent some time at Safe Harbor Stratford and honestly had a great experience. The first thing that stand out is the people. Seve, the Dockmaster, really went above and beyond to make sure everything was good from the moment we arrived until we left. It's not often you find someone who genuinely care that every boater is having a good stay. The marina itself has so many nice places to relax. There's a comfortable lounge, a beautiful gazebo, a fire pit for the evening, covered picnic tables, BBQ grills, even a bocce court! The ship store is well furnished and has much more than the usual marina essentials. You can tell they really thought about making it a place where people actually want to spend time, not just tie up the boat. The restaurant on site is another big plus. Happy Hour is always a good excuse to meet fellow boaters, and they often have live music which gives the whole marina a really nice atmosphere. Everything you may need is close by. There's a seafood market, an oyster bar, a bait and tackle shop, a liquor store, and if you need bigger supplies, Home Depot and Walmart are just a little further away. Another thing I really appreciated was how easy it is to get around without a car. The Stratford train station is only about an 18-minute walk, making crew changes or day trips into New York or New Haven very easy. As a French chef, I especially loved the herb garden. Being able to pick fresh basilic, thyme, rosemary, chives, celery, tarragon and other herbs is such a unique touch. It may sounds like a small detail, but for someone who loves cooking aboard, it really made my day. Overall, I think Safe Harbor Stratford is much more than just a marina. It's a perfect place to meet up with crew, catch-up with family and friends, or simply spend a few relaxing days before heading back out on Long Island Sound. I'll definitly be coming back.

  This whole company is a joke they're super unresponsive don't do what they say just numerous numerous issues and I'm already just in my first season

  I recently hauled my boat here for some maintenance and small repairs let me just say the experience was amazing Jim was awesome super nice extremely professional and definitely knows what he’s doing ! Pretty much everybody that I met and dealt was awesome ! I couldn’t be happier and look forward to coking back here in the future!

  This is a wonderful marina with a terrific staff. We were having a potential issue with strange whining sounds comming from our drive shaft or bearings on our Mainship 400. We were calling marinas in the area to get help but all answered that they were too busy to help. When we called Safe Harbor Stratford, Ed Miller, Service Manager, was quick to respond and told us to come in and dock at the fuel dock and he would give us a short hallout and check out our running gear issue. We docked about 1230 pm and by 2:30 were able to get into the lift. Ed and the General Manager, Bazil Grabovsky, performed a through inspection, determined that the underwater runnning gear were technically sound and we put the boat back in the water. Ed then personnally got on the boat, and as we ran it up the channel, he got down in the engine room and checked all the drive shaft connections and and the drive shaft seals. No issues were found and we determined that the entire drive train was in good order and the whining was coming from the propellers created by harmonice vibration sound. We returned to the dock, by this time it was late, but they found us a slip for the night. I cannot say enough for the caring and personal attention we recieved from all the staff, Bazil, and especially Ed. They truly went out of their way to ensure we got to the bottom of the issue and we were able to continue our crusing trip to Newport RI. The caring attitude of the entire staff was amazing and we are forever grateful.
