  I had an absolutely terrible experience here at Mystic and will never return. Their hours are posted as 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but when we arrived at 9:30 AM on August 31, 2026, the office was locked. A sign on the door told us to call the Groton branch…seems like they abandon this location frequently. After multiple runarounds with calling customer service, a corporate representative finally booked us a car and arranged a pickup from our hotel (we were only a 6 minute walk from the Mystic office, but since no one was there, they made arrangements to pick us up when the office was finally opened for business). Originally they said we would get picked up between 10:30am-11:00am. The branch delayed our pickup time, finally getting us back to the Mystic office at 11:30 AM. Even though we had been dealing with their closures and delays for over two hours, the employee refused to help us next. He insisted on serving groups who arrived after us and were waiting in the office. When we tried to explain our situation, he became extremely argumentative, which caused even more frustration after we had already been forced to be patient for hours. He then completely ignored my husband and dismissed us. The employee was incredibly unprofessional, wearing sunglasses indoors in an office that smelled heavily of cats. The customer service was abysmal. Do yourself a favor and rent your car elsewhere.

  I rented a car for a quick work trip to Rhode Island. Mike called me the morning of the rental to let me know that the car I needed was in Groton, but he offered to send someone to pick me up at the Mystic train station. It turns out they were able to move the car to Mystic, but still picked me up almost as soon as I got off the train. The employee who picked me up and processed the rental was very friendly and polite. The car itself was nice as well. Great experience!

  Car was not what I was told I was going to get, it was not clean, the interior smelled and maintenance indicators kept coming on, even only driving it a little bit

  Wonderful staff! They made the pick up and drop off of our rentals very easy. An enterprise driver also took us all to the train station so we wouldn't have to walk. Will definitely use Enterprise again!
