  I had a rental through my insurance company and arrived at this branch with a reservation already arranged. I was assigned a vehicle, paid the required taxes and deposit, and was never verbally informed that the vehicle exceeded my insurance coverage or that I would be responsible for additional daily charges. Several days later, I received an email stating that Enterprise had been trying to contact me regarding a balance that had accumulated because the vehicle was not fully covered by my insurance. My concern is simple: if the vehicle was outside the approved insurance rate, why was I placed in that vehicle without being informed of the additional cost before leaving the lot? When I contacted the branch, the manager was dismissive and unprofessional. Rather than addressing why the rate difference was never disclosed, I was told that it was my responsibility to ask for a cheaper vehicle and that it is “not their job to know the ins and outs” of my insurance policy. That response completely ignores the issue. I did not select a specific vehicle or request an upgrade—I accepted the vehicle that was presented to me through an insurance-arranged reservation. I understand that customers are responsible for reviewing rental agreements, but basic transparency and communication should still be expected. If there is going to be an out-of-pocket daily charge, that should be clearly explained at pickup, not after charges have already accumulated. The amount itself was not the problem. The lack of disclosure, poor communication, and unprofessional customer service were.
