  I am writing to express my serious dissatisfaction with the service I received during the windshield replacement on my 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan. After the initial installation, I noticed what appeared to be a small crack in the windshield, material visible along the inside edges, and my oil change sticker was missing. When I returned to show the technician my concerns, he pointed to the windshield seal and asked, “Who installed this?” This raised further concerns about the quality of the original installation. I was told the issues had been corrected, but approximately 15 minutes later, I received a call saying my vehicle was ready. Given the initial problems and the technician’s comment, I questioned whether everything had been thoroughly inspected and properly corrected. I also want to address the fact that when I returned to pick up my vehicle, it was left unlocked with the keys inside in a public parking lot. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the care and security of my vehicle while it was in your possession. Additionally, although I understand I did not specifically request OEM glass, I would have preferred the original factory glass and am disappointed that I was not made aware of my options before the replacement was completed. Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing. I gave Safelite the opportunity to correct the initial concerns, but the workmanship questions, lack of communication, missing oil change sticker, and vehicle security issue have left me very unhappy with the service. I expected a much higher level of professionalism and care.

  First of all I waited over six hours for my pickup truck rear window to be replaced, I had already removed the rear seat and lining so they had full access the motor that operates the window. Then I get home start to put the seat back in an I had to spend a half hour cleaning all the glass they left every where. The excuse I was given was whoever replaced that window last time made a big mess with over chalking and adhesive the that was also Safelite. So not a happy camper them them.

  I had my windshield replaced. At first, I scheduled the repair online for them to come to my house. Someone called and said they could do the recalibration via the mobile unit and I had to make an appointment to come to the shop. So, this took an extra couple of days. Once I was in the shop, everything went smoothly. They finished the work in the time they told me they would. Everything seems to have been done well. No problems.

  My 1993 BMW 740 had a windshield crack. The manager of the Niantic CT Safelite office assisted me with the estimate that my insurance company needed; Liz, the customer advocate, worked with my schedule for an appointment; and Raphael, the technician, was extremely professional and thorough in describing the replacement process and what was necessary to do after the replacement for the next couple of days.

  Impossible to do business with this company. Dropped the truck off before they opened. I tried to call to let someone know where to find the key for the vehicle and discovered that you cannot, under any circumstances call this location. I had to navigate the impenetrable AI phone system to finally reach a person. That individual then said they would call the shop while i was on hold. They returned to the call stating they were unable to reach anyone. This is where we are all heading with customer service. I would never use this company again.
