  This is the only Auto Shop I will ever go to for the rest of my days on this earth. At the risk of writing an entire doctoral dissertation about my multiple experiences here, I'll just ask you this: Have you ever been overcharged at another shop? Have you ever felt dismissed at another shop? Have you ever felt gaslit at another shop? Have you ever felt like the ONE problem you keep experiencing with your vehicle NEVER happens when your mechanic is there, so they convince you that THERE IS NO PROBLEM and INSTEAD you should pay SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS to fix a bunch of other things, when a reputable auto shop would have charged you THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS? THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS IS LITERALLY HALF OF SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS BUT WHAT DO I KNOW??????? Anyway, I sure have familiarity with all of those questions, and I simply do not return to places that treat me poorly. It's 2026 and I'm happy to Irish Goodbye myself out of any situation if it protects my mental health. But this is not one of those places. Affordable Transmissions has made my 2015 Subaru Forester into the smoothest running vehicle I've ever had. I was so scared to lose it, and there's no way I'm buying a new car that yells at me and drives for me. Now I'm driving around thinking "this might as well be a new car!" I feel so cared for, and that's not something that a lot of places can brag about. I will never go anywhere else. And if you need an auto shop in the future, you should definitely go here. I guess this actually is a Doctoral Dissertation now, but I don't care anymore. Go here. An absolute 10/10.

  I just wanted to add my two cents to the other positive reviews here. I brought in my minivan after the transmission suddenly started slipping badly. I asked them to take a look and change the transmission fluid. They were very upfront that while this could verify there were indeed serious issues with the transmission, changing the fluid could only not fix the problem but could make things worse. Since replacing the transmission was so expensive, I decided to go ahead to be sure what the situation was. Unfortunately, it turned out that the transmission was likely on its last legs, and just as I started to pull out of the repair shop to take the minivan home and figure out what to do next, the transmission actually failed completely. I suddenly had no car and was stranded at the repair shop. They were very helpful and drove me home with one of the shop's trucks. Throughout my ordeal, they were very aboveboard and clear in explaining all my options. Even though I eventually decided against repairing my 19 year old minivan, they let me keep at it their shop at no charge until I had it towed away for salvage. They are honest and know what they are doing. I will be back. Thanks again for your help!
