  I had a wonderful experience with my recent experience purchasing a Volvo XC40 at Gengras Volvo in East Hartford. Vecdet took very good care of us, was extremely knowledgeable, and was informative without being pushy. His accessibility was also excellent, working around my tight schedule. The value was clearly there in comparison to blue book, and the car has simply been a pleasure to drive. Since my teenage son is the main driver it’s so comforting to know he is driving such a safe vehicle with top notch safety ratings. We have enjoyed the car a great deal, thanks for the experience!!!

  We just had the most amazing experience buying a Volvo XC 60. Our sales associate Brandy was instrumental in helping us through the car buying process. She was knowledgeable and extremely professional. It could not have been any easier! The service people were also helpful with answering some questions we had. Leilani helped us with all the tech related stuff. She is a wizard!!! She knew how to set up our electronics and was quick to answer all of our questions! We appreciate the patience of both of these women and will be returning to buy another car!!

  I got a flat tire on I-84, 2 hours from my home, in my XC90. Luckily I was close to Gengras Volvo. As I was waiting for help to change the tire, I called Gengras and spoke with Assistant Service Manager Andy McKenzie, who said he and his team would help in any way possible. I was able to drive on the spare tire to Gengras Volvo, and Andy and the entire team went above and beyond with their professionalism and kindness. Although I am sure they were busy with their regular customers, they were able to get me a new tire, alleviate all of my safety concerns, and get me and my daughters back on the road. Thank you Andy and team!

  Yesterday a message appeared on the dashboard of my Volvo regarding my car’s SRS airbag that read “SRS airbag - Service Urgent - Drive to workshop” so I immediately called Gengras Volvo (where I purchased and maintain my car) for instructions on how to address this issue. Customer service did not have a clue on what it meant, and I was forwarded to the Service area. There I was told that there was an appointment in 2 weeks! Since Volvo touts itself for “safety” I was surprised at what little interest there was in taking action immediately on this prompt. Why would this message reflect such urgency then? After much convincing on my end, I was finally given permission from the service rep to bring my car in that day. After cancelling appointments for the day, I made my way to the dealership and patiently waited for a response to this issue. Long story short, I was charged $215+ for a eval which I was not informed of until I was at the dealership, informed that if I had purchased an "extended warranty" the issue would be covered and quoted over $1500 to fix it. The cost of evaluation did not remove the display message so I have to drive around with that until it is fixed. Not at all what I expected from Gengras/Volvo.

  Everyone at Gengras was friendly and professional. Our salesperson, Jola, was especially friendly and helpful. She was very easy to work with. No pressure. She spent a lot of time with us. We came in with a particular car in mind to purchase . We test drove the car a couple of times and she gave us a good price for car. Even so we asked for a lower price and got it. Then we agreed verbally to the purchase. As we were starting to pull the paperwork together we saw another car in the showroom that interested us. Despite all the work Jola had already done put in to make the sale, she seemed honestly unperturbed and took us for test drives. We finally decided on the second car. I am amazed that any sales person could be that patient. We will definitely look her up again the next time we purchase another car.
