If you own a Subaru, do not take it anywhere except for SubieSmith!
I recently had an issue with my 11 year old Subaru overheating when driving in the mountains. At first I had it towed to a repair shop associated with a Subaru dealer in the mountains and they claimed I had two blown head gaskets and a cracked radiator. The dealer suggested I just sell the car and buy a new one because the cost to repair would be more than double what the car is worth. I have driven this car for a long time and that just seemed way off. I wanted a second opinion, so I called SubieSmith and described the situation to them. They explained the different scenarios and issues that could have possibly caused it, and they said they would to take a look at it. I decided to have it towed to SubieSmith instead of having it scrapped, and the crew there was amazing about keeping me in the loop. They found that the head gaskets were fine, radiator was fine, and that it was a simple radiator cap that had failed. What was almost a huge financial event ended up being a $35 radiator cap. The staff at SubieSmith took amazing care of my car, were very professional and caring, kept me informed at each step of the process, and went above and beyond to make sure my car kept running. I can't say enough good things about this place. Do yourself a favor and go to SubieSmith instead of any other Subaru shops in Denver, you will be so happy you did!

I came to Subie Smith after having some pretty rough experiences for an extended period of time with the same mechanic, which previously treated my husband super well, so it was really sad. That situation left me feeling very frustrated, and I was devastated that I was still having issues with my car that they weren’t able to resolve. My husband found Subie Smith, which had excellent reviews. The crew at Subie Smith has not only been so kind, but detailed in every conversation. They fixed what we believe is wrong with my car and also let me know that if they didn’t accurately diagnose and fix the problem that, I would expect my money back, and that we would continue working on this issue together (!). I’ve never received this much kindness and integrity from a mechanic. I couldn’t recommend this place enough and I’m truly thrilled to be giving these folks my business. Their free inspection also helped me understand how I should save my money to fix other issues on the car at some point. Even with that, they told me what could wait instead of pressuring me to fix everything at once which I’ve experienced in the past. They’re truly so awesome and I feel like I can rest knowing my old subie has an amazing team to tend to it as needed. Thank you guys SO much!!

I really appreciate Tyler’s help and advice, a lot of shops seem like they just want your money, but these guys seem to really care about helping you make the best decision for yourself and the car given it’s estimated remaining lifespan and the cost of the work to keep it going.
My subi christmas treed on me. They got me in quickly, assessed the issue and gave me an extremely detailed diagnosis. That inspection was free and there was no pressure to move forward quickly. They encouraged us to research and think about what we wanted to do next. They gave me the facts and no fluff. They communicated what is absolutely necessary vs what we can hold off on considering the expense of the repairs. They even worked through options with me as far as buying a new car or repairing. Michael and Tyler were so helpful and this was easily the best mechanic experience I have ever had. Thanks guys!

Got my head gaskets done and a few other thing. Excellent Work!! Friendly and fair service. They didn't try changing me for a bunch of stuff I didn't need. I got other quotes that tried to upcharge me for stuff before even looking at the motor. It's just like going to the dealer but with fair prices. Thanks alot Tyler and Michael will be back in a few weeks.
