  Techs cross threaded a drain plug and spent 20+ minutes trying to cover up their mistake. I had to finally walk into the bay and ask what was going on. Was then told about the drain plug and that it must have been some other shop. When questioned about why they didn't immediately come see me instead of trying to drive the plug back in, manager told me it is not normal Grease Monkey business practice to inform the customer. Why aren't we coming to the customer right when the damage is found? Why are we trying to hide or repair something like that without telling the customer first? Well, $9k later at the dealership. You have to inform the customer when damage is found (whether you did it or not), and you cannot try to fix anything without the customer's approval. Doing so without communicating to the customer and then making excuses when the customer catches on....isn't normal behavior at any shop (that didn't damage it to begin with of course). Not their fault is what I'm getting, but oddly they remembered me 2 weeks later without having given them my info. Kinda been waiting for that phone call, huh? I wish I could list out all the Grease Monkey's owned by this franchisee and tell you to skip them all. Skip this one at least. Should I return the vehicle to this Grease Monkey and let strippy stripperson drill and tap a transmission case on the car and put a new plug in like they are suggesting? They are guaranteeing that no debris will get into the trans. That's the logic of a shop that's trying to hide damage. Also, powertrain manufacture warranty voided on this brand new car. That's bigger than a small claims.

  First time getting my car serviced here and the guys there were cool as hell. I wish I remember the name of the fellow that helped me but give that guy $50 gift card to a place of his choice.

  ⚠️Absolute worst customer service. Avoid this place! I asked them to loosen an oil filter cap they over-tightened during my last oil change. They completely refused to help. When I pushed back, the manager went unhinged. He closed the bay doors on me, refused to honor any warranty, spoke disrespectfully to his own staff, and actually called the cops on me just for asking them to fix their mistake. Save your money and go to the shop right next door instead. They saw what happened, kindly lent us the tool we needed for free, and treated us with actual respect. This Grease Monkey is hostile and completely unprofessional.
