  What thoroughly disgusting store bathrooms. Maverik, you should be ashamed for your negligence in overseeing this store, and the health department should pay a visit. I wish I'd taken photos; I'd be sure to post them everywhere. The first thing you see when you go to the restroom hallway is the walk-in on one side and bathrooms on the other. Today, at about 12:00 p.m., as I waited in line for my turn in the restroom, I noticed that over the course of ten minutes, the walk-in door stayed open with no employees nearby. About two feet away, just outside one bathroom door, stood a damp mop labeled 'Bathroom'. No bucket in sight, but that filthy mop seemed to have been there a while. My husband and I entered separate bathrooms, and had we not been on the road so long, we'd have left immediately. The one I entered had grout that had turned black, a hole in the wall by the door (with a rock placed inside the dirty space), aged grime (including some that could only have come from the nose of a human), all over the walls, dried urine splashes all over the lid of the little trash can, and not-quite-as-dried-but-close urine on the back part of the toilet seat, and a sink that, after ten seconds waving my hands under the spout, gave half a second's worth of lukewarm water at a time. I was amazed to see soap, toilet paper, and seat covers were stocked. I used three seat covers and resented my inability to pee standing up. My husband's experience was the same; fortunately, he can stand and pee, so we don't believe he caught any communicable diseases. I couldn't stomach the idea of purchasing anything knowing the walk-in temp likely wasn't stable and washing hands doesn't seem to be a priority in the store, but the Karen in me made sure to inform the two people at the counter exactly how filthy the restrooms are. One of them claimed to have cleaned them only an hour ago. I'm not sure that word means what he thinks it means. I politely told him there were several surfaces which had clearly not been cleaned in several months at least. To be fair, he was polite and apologetic. Maverik, how disappointing. We routinely choose Maverik stations in Mesa County, where we live, but I will be sure to warn people to avoid this one in Glenwood like the plague...which they might catch if they sit to pee.

  Maverick has been my favorite place for gas and roadtrip snacks for at least the past years. My most recent stop was in Glenwood Spring on 6th and Laurel. The clerk, Sophia, was kind and energetic. I loathe self check out and really like getting to know the employees. Sophia was a breathe of fresh air. please keep ip the good work!

  Warning if you're a truck with the trailer, maybe even just a truck or any large vehicle do not go to this gas station. Whatever you might think of the Maverick brand. This is the most inconvenient difficult gas station I've ever experienced.
