Toyota doesn't allow a person to order a vehicle. There is an allocation system so you have to find an allocated vehicle that meets your desire, then you have to work with the dealership to tweak it to your exact specs. This stinks, and corporate Toyota should fix that. Working through that with Big Horn Toyota was an excellent experience, but after that, it all went downhill. Communication suffered. We live about 2.5 hours away. Once the car arrived, I had to call and check on the status of the vehicle and confirm details that should have been checked by the salespeople. Had I not done so, we have driven 2.5 hours only to discover the car needed modification to meet the negotiated order specs. We slipped our pickup date a week to accommodate the changes. Upon arrival, we were not prioritized for our scheduled appointment time and were left waiting while our salesperson worked with another person - after driving 2.5 hours - this is unacceptable. Our trade in deal was not respected. One reason given for not adjusting the trade was that the care needed to be modified to meet our agreed upon specs. That was Big Horn's fault and should not have factored into the deal. But when faced with a long drive home we felt compelled to accept it. The finance department was very professional. Overall, we were not happy with the experience. Love the car, hated the process of buying it.
