  I was on the phone for two hours trying to sign up for a membership after having issue with their website. The sign up form wasn't able verify my address, so the customer support agent kept trying to add my address in over and over again and nothing worked. My partner had the same issue with their site, it wouldn't recognise his address or payment details either. Total waste of my time.

  I bought 3 years of roadside assistance for our Winnebago Revel. When we had a flat tire near Tahoe, CA, we called for help. The first tow company they connected us with was in another state. We called back, the next company ended up canceling on us. No one ever showed up to help!! I've read that their reimbursement rates are too low and have trouble finding tow companies that will actually provide the services. I called Good Sam to cancel our policy and ask for a full refund. They just gave me a prorated refund. So, basically, they took my money and when we needed the service, we got nothing. This is terrible! We switched to AAA. It is more expensive, but hopefully, they will show up when called.

  Save your money!!! I paid a year for coverage only to be told when needed a tow they could not tow me. I have a 1962 custom truck that looks like a old milk truck. after checking with them before changing from AAA. they said no problems they tow alot larger vehichles all the time. When needed they said no because it was a commercial vehicle. I said no its not any business at all and its smaller than a mini motorhome. same answer it was a comm. veh. ! have been towed by AAA many times with regular policy. went with good sam because we started towing a travel trailer with another truck. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! THEY LIE!

  Was on the side of the road where I wasn't safe, the man I spoke to was not helpful, his computer "kept crashing" and he kept putting me on hold. I was on the side of the road talking to the worlds most incompetent man for 45 mins and finally hung up and called a local tow truck who promptly came and I just paid out of pocket. The incompetent Good Sam's guy called back once and I didn't answer. Never tried to call again. Would NOT reccomended this service to anyone, and will throw dirt on their name. I was in crisis, wasn't safe and they kept putting me on hold.

  A few months ago I decided to cancel me subscription. This was 4 months before the renewal date. I called in and the guy who took my call told me he had cancelled it. I never received a confirmation email. That should have been my first sign. About a month later I received an email from them reminding me that my auto renewal will take place in a couple months. I immediately got on the phone and called them asking them to verify my account was no longer active and my subscription was cancelled. The lady told me she saw it was cancelled and the email was "a glitch". She assured me it was now taken care of. Again, no confirmation email. The auto renewal date came, and I got a text from my bank saying I was charged. I right then and there called the number for Good Sams AGAIN. The guy on the other end of the phone told me he canceled my subscription and my card "has been deleted from the system, it can no longer be charged. We will issue you a refund in 3 to 5 business days" I told him it was supposed to have been cancelled months ago. He replied, "It was probably a glitch someone where along the line, I took care of it". 'A glitch' seems to be the go-to excuse. I then asked him again "Is my membership cancelled?" He said yes. Low and behold I immediately got an email confirming it was cancelled. I will see if I receive my refund. It has been 8 days. Not sure who they have working their customer service, but from all the negative reviews I am seeing they should consider making some changes.
