I love the professionalism and communication of the staff. The work quality is great and if there is a fault or an issue with the work they recognize that and fix it. However, the time line to do a muffler delete extended to the very end of the day. I wasn't notified of the work completion till 40 minutes of closing. If I were local or with in 15 minutes that would have been great 20 miles in 5pm traffic made it a challenge. I do understand schedule can be a challenge but it would be nice for a heads up for the end of the day completion.

I had my car towed to this shop during a road trip in July 2025 after experiencing ongoing issues with the rear driver's-side wheel. After discussing the necessary repairs over the phone, I was told the shop would replace all of the brakes and the wheel bearings. I appreciated that they allowed me to pay over the phone and arranged for me to pick up my vehicle on a day they were closed.
Unfortunately, my experience quickly went downhill. As soon as I pulled out of the lot, my car sounded worse than it had before the repairs. When I called to ask about the new noise, I was told that I had previously declined recommended maintenance, which was simply not true.
I brought the car back the following week. When I dropped it off, I was told they had replaced the wrong wheel bearing. However, when I picked it up later that day, I was given a completely different explanation—that the wrong wheel bearing had not been replaced after all and that the earlier information was the result of a computer system glitch. They then told me I needed to replace the stabilizer bar control link instead. The conflicting explanations made it difficult to trust anything I was being told. At one point, the owner even admitted that they had so many Subaru's come through the shop that he couldn't keep them straight.
Three months later, after returning home to Boulder, I took my car to a different mechanic for a routine inspection. I was shocked to learn that all of my brake pads were worn completely down to metal-on-metal. The mechanic told me there was no reasonable way the brakes had been replaced just three months earlier unless used parts had been installed.
When I contacted the shop to request a refund for the brake work I paid for but apparently never received, they refused to reimburse me. Instead, they insisted that I return to their shop in Durango so they could replace the brakes themselves, despite the significant distance and the fact that I no longer trusted their work.
To make matters worse, as of yesterday, the same clunking noise that originally prompted me to seek repairs has returned from the rear driver's-side wheel. Given everything that has happened, I have little confidence that the issues with my rear wheel assembly were properly diagnosed or repaired in the first place.
Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. Between the inconsistent explanations, questionable repairs, and refusal to take responsibility, I feel I wasted over $1,000 on work that either was not performed or was performed improperly. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop.
