  Showed up for a car rental I had booked through Expedia. I have a valid drivers license, a digital copy through the myColorado app, because my wallet was stolen a month ago and it’s proven difficult to get an appointment to renew it. Nowhere in the booking process did it specify it needed to be a physical license. Nowhere in the policies I was sent after booking specified that it needed to be a physical license. It was not until I got to the counter that I was told that it had to be a physical license. When I requested a refund through Expedia, they reached out to Sixt and I was informed that because this is their policy I am not eligible for a refund and am being marked as a no show. So I paid $60 for literally nothing. They need to make their policies on Expedia more clear to specify that a physical license is required.

  We had an absolutely amazing experience with Sixt! We rented a BMW 3 Series for our wedding and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a BMW 5 Series. It was such a wonderful touch for a special occasion, and we really appreciated it. From pickup through the rental itself, everything was smooth, professional, and enjoyable. The car was fantastic, clean, comfortable, and we had no issues whatsoever during our rental. The entire experience felt easy and professional, and the upgrade made an already special occasion even better. The only frustrating part was returning the vehicle. The Sixt return area is located within the Cherry Creek Mall parking garage, and the designated area is exceedingly difficult to find. The garage is large and the signage could definitely be clearer, which made the return a little stressful. That said, this seems to be more of a limitation of the mall parking garage and the location Sixt is required to use rather than an issue with Sixt itself. Once we found the return area, everything went smoothly. Overall, we had an excellent experience with Sixt and would absolutely rent from them again. The service was great, the car was fantastic, and the unexpected upgrade was a wonderful surprise for our wedding. Highly recommend Sixt!

  Ammar was awesome. HIGHLY recommend. Very kind and understanding. Great energy. Helped me decide which car he had that was best for me and made a stressful experience in every other way positive again. I had to bring public transportation and it was a nightmare lol. The energy he brought to the transaction when I picked up, after hecticness from the bus system, made a much more positive experience of it all. Kindness, empathy, friendliness and understanding go A LONG way in customer service. He nailed it today. Thank you Ammar :)

  When I saw that my rental was still open 3 days after returning, I’d gotten flashbacks of the Union Station location that kept it open for weeks, charging my card $400+ per day (for nearly 3 weeks), but this location only kept it open 3 days after return and didn’t charge my card. Amar was a great help for sure when I’d forgotten my credit card and had to edit my pickup date. The truck was a cool upgrade and everyone was very friendly. The location is very convenient and the return instructions in the app are very transparent

  Well, I never got the car, which is a blessing in the end. I needed a car for a Sunday day trip and Sixt was the only place open later on Saturday. With no trouble I was able to prepay $140 for a 6pm pick up and after reading the reviews about being erroneously charged for damages, opted for the additional damage coverage. I had an all day event on Saturday, but did try and move-up my pick up time to earlier in the day only to find it would be an additional $300+ charge. I checked in ahead of time, but wasn't able to get to the counter until just after 6pm. My bad, I assumed "kiosk" meant that I would be able to use a kiosk to sign paperwork and get my keys. I call the help line (one good thing, I was never on a long hold) and the person I spoke to looked into changing the pick up location so I could get a car sooner than the desk opened on Sunday morning- only to inform me that a location change would also be a $300+ charge. I said forget it and that I would pick the car up at 10am the next day, which pushed my trip back two hours. I am so glad I called back to ask what would happen if I returned the car two hours later than planned. It would have been an additional $400+ charge! I ended up canceling the reservation, walking away from the original $140 charge and finding other transportation. One cannot help but think this is part of Sixt's predatory business model, offer seemingly inexpensive cars only to mandate egregious charges at every turn if there are any changes to the reservation. In my mind, they stole from me, but at least it was only $140 and not $400+. Shame on them for treating people like this.
