Booked through a third party initially because of work rewards, but everything still went smoothly. Received confirmation pretty quickly and was able to upload documents to make the check in process easier. It did help, but one thing to note is apparently they don't have anyone at the gate late at night (I arrived near midnight), so we still had to wait in line as normal. Luckily the line wasn't long and it was very quick because I already uploaded my license and made the car selection. Was offered a free upgrade from a sedan I initially selected, which was awesome (especially in the Denver area with all the unpaved roads). Got a 2026 Dodge Durango, which was really good on mileage. Overall, I'd highly recommend renting from here. The only con is you can only select your car an hour or so before check in which can be inconvenient if you're on a flight, but luckily I had WiFi and the process was straight forward.
I used SIXT during my 30 Jun - 2 Jul 2026 trip to Colorado. Although this was my first time using this company in Colorado, it's not my first time using them in all my life. This company provides opportunities to rent vehicles that aren't your standard vehicles you would get at other rental companies, and at a fraction of the price...which is phenomenal. Also, the normal vehicles you receive at SIXT are oftentimes considered in the "premium" category at other rental companies. The vehicle I received was a BMW X3 30 and it was perfect for what I needed during my business trip.
Unfortunately for me, I tried to accomplish the online check-in and car reservation process through their website once I received an email to conduct that process, but it wouldn't finalize...so I had to do the conventional check-in process with the front desk. When my daughter and I arrived at the rental location via the airport shuttle service, it wasn't busy so we were immediately helped. The employees at this company were very friendly and helpful, which isn't as common these days, especially at rental companies. The employees almost remind me of the employees at Chick-Fil-A, where you always receive a friendly greeting and superb service throughout. I will especially call out Isaiah, who assisted me during the rental pick-up; Ashley, who assisted me with the car return service; and Emily T. (our bus driver that transported us to the airport). All of them were extremely friendly and efficient; not to mention highly knowledgeable in their profession, which enabled a smooth traveling experience.
The only (minor) complaint I had was the vehicle's fuel quantity upon pick-up. Although the gas meter displayed a full fuel tank, the "distance-to-empty" was ~16 miles less than whenever I filled it up and returned it to the rental center. Again, nothing major considering the vehicle was still in compliance with the full fuel tank policy and I never used all of the fuel after I picked up the vehicle anyways; however, for future customers, this may be a concern (or maybe not).
Overall, I loved my experience with SIXT, as depicted in my 5-star rating. It's comforting to know that there is a rental company of this caliber within reach whenever I return to Denver for another business or personal trip. There's a positive trend of receiving quality vehicles and superb workmanship of the employees with all SIXT locations that I have rented from; therefore, I am confident that I'll receive this type of service no matter where I go...well, I hope this is the case. I highly recommend this company to everyone! In fact, I won't recommend them so it's not as busy for me whenever I return. 😁
Note: This review/rating is subject to change based on the timeliness of my deposit return. I don't suspect my deposit to be affected considering there were no (new) visual damages upon vehicle return. All damages that were identified during pick-up were communicated to the SIXT employee.
Very untrustworthy business that relies on people not knowing they have options. I pre-booked a smaller sedan with Sixt since they were the only rental company in the area that stated they had the smaller car available. When I get there, they offer me a "free upgrade" to a giant SUV that I was not comfortable driving. We had to wait a substantial amount of time for them to fix the error and ready the car I had paid for (resulting in us being very late to my friend's wedding rehearsal dinner). Fast forward to drop off, I dropped off my car a day early. The woman told me the final day would be refunded. I was like "oh cool, didn't know that." A day later, my deposit is returned but not refund is issued. I figured that wasn't the policy since a refund for extra days isn't standard, but I emailed corporate because at this point this company made us late and the staff blatantly lies. Corporate sends my complaint to this branch, the next day I get a notice about damage on the car. I reach out to the customer service line, who confirms my invoice is closed and I will not incur a charge. Then I get a bill for almost 1.5k in damages, due to a scratch on the bottom of the bumper (that was barely visible in the pictures provided.) Customer service line is beyond useless trying to get a hold of anyone that can answer anything or help. I was told to email the damage claims department...who never replied. I get a call yesterday at almost 4pm (after the claims department is closed) by their AI system stating that I was being sent to collections. I had to fight with the customer service line again to figure out how to resolve this (mind you they are only open 9-5...same time most people are at work), before finally I sent a follow up email to the customer service department and claims. I threatened legal action if they sent me to collections, since I was disputing the bill, and sent a complaint to the BBB. This morning, I get an email from Sixt that they are closing the invoice and not pursing me for the scratch. Absolutely unbelievable.

Blown away by the customer service! I’ve rented from Avis before and I never will again but I think I’ve decided I’ll forever rent from Sixt when available! I was beyond happy with the experience.
Story time: I was frustrated about the original car assigned due to size not being what I expected based on the description when I booked. I messaged Sixt and I didn’t even finish the message with an agent and closed out since my boyfriend talked me into just seeing the car in person and go from there. But when we showed up they had already made a car change for us. Check in was super smooth and the return was even smoother. I Highly recommend! I’ll certainly be back!

Sixt usually provides great customer service and the Denver airport location is no exception.
Elizabeth helped me get checked in and make sure the check in process was smooth. You see, my flight landed shortly after midnight, and while I did put into the app that I’ll be picking it up at midnight, I forgot that means it rolls into the next day. Imagine my panic opening the app and seeing I’m one day overdue to pick up the car.
Elizabeth put me at ease, ensuring everything is alright. There was no additional fees or penalties. They had plenty of cars so she even upgraded me to a bmw. She showed my the local freeway system and given where I’m going I probably don’t need their toll pass and how to stay off the express lanes.
It was an absolutely wonderful experience after such a long day.
