Came to get my cracked windshield replaced. The work done was great. But they never called me to tell me my truck was ready. Couldn't find the phone number and turns out they dont list it.

10 days after Safelite installed a new, non-OEM windshield on my vehicle, it cracked again from top to bottom; Safelite flatly refused to honor any warranty for the quality of their glass.

Appointment scheduled for 3 weeks, multiple text and email reminders received from Safelite, only to be called 18 hrs prior that they cannot replace my windshield at this location. They rescheduled us to another Safelite location and I again received multiple notifications about the appointment and reminders to arrive 10 min early. This morning drove across town and told they do not have the glass and need to reschedule again. Avoid Safelite unless you like to be yanked around!

It's easy to understand why Safelite is used by so many insurance companies. Quick, kept me up to date on progress (despite much needed rain which delayed the process a bit), considerate, answered all questions. Hope to not need them again, but a comfort to know I can get it done so promptly, proficiently and professionally.

It took 4 tries to get my glass replaced and the camera sensors recalibrated. I spent 12 hours in their waiting room across those visits and the only reason I kept going back is because after the first time they had already gotten the money from my insurance company so I didn't have a choice but to continue with them...
Highlights: Everyone was nice. On the fourth visit, I did indeed get a phone call with a status on my car. Fourth visit competed, everything is working, but there is no way this should have taken them 4 tries.
Lowlights: The first time I tried to get my car taken care of I dropped it off at 7:00 a.m. and rode my bike to work. I never received a single phone call or text message about status of my windshield replacement. I tried calling the published number which took me to AI, eventually to a nationwide call center. That representative then tried to call the shop on my behalf but no one picked up, and they suggested I call back to the call center later... Still had heard nothing by 4:00 p.m. and they close at 5:00 so I biked over. They said they weren't done yet; the windshield was replaced but they had not been able to start the calibration. (Remember my car has literally been there all day ....) Turns out just because they close at 5:00 doesn't mean they finish work at 5:00 so they still had my car till after 6:00 and I heard one of them comment about how they were actually doing really good in terms of how late they were working that day. Usually it's later.... At that point they told me that they were struggling with recalibration and I could leave the car or come back a different day..... I made another appointment and came back another day, this time choosing to take off of work, and I figured since it would be only for the calibration part and shouldn't be a full 3-hour appointment and I'd be fine. Instead after 3 and 1/2 hours they came out and told me they had not been able to recalibrate it. Once again. It's after 6pm at this point, again. Third time I took off from work again and they changed to OEM glass. 3 and 1/2 hours later they came out to tell me that it had been successfully replaced and recalibrated, but when replacing it they had broken the clips. So the whole thing would need to be done over again. I very much appreciated the honesty, but I was certainly frustrated by now. Oh they also had lost part of the shroud and would need to buy a replacement.
So while the people are nice, my time was absolutely disrespected. Any attempts to contact the store go through AI and nation-wide call centers.
If you have a Subaru, I would not go here. Apparently they are very hard to fix and recalibrate and I will never trust Safelite to do my windshield again. I thought going to a place that only does Auto Glass would know what they were doing and be able to do it successfully.... Boy was I wrong.
Oh, btw, the bathroom and waiting room are gross. I doubt they ever get cleaned. Safelite really needs to spend less money on jingles and commercials and more money on the customer experience so people want to come back.... I certainly won't be back.
