This place does not even deserve a review, but I want to warn everyone considering Brake Plus, whether you are coming in for brakes or any other repair, about my experience.
Brake Plus, I give you a Brake Minus.
My experience was dishonest, frustrating, and completely unprofessional. Regional Manager Jeremy and the owners never responded to my concerns. I felt like my questions were dismissed, as if I should not ask about repairs being performed on my own vehicle. Boys Club !!!
When I asked Jessie a conman, what the PSI reading was on my low-pressure fuel pump, he told me, "It was like less than 5." There was no paperwork, no diagnostic report, and no documentation to support that statement—only his word.
In my experience, Brake Plus significantly marks up parts. I was quoted $913 for a low-pressure fuel pump on my 2014 BMW X3, and the replacement part was not even an original BMW part—it came from AutoZone. BMW later quoted me approximately $540 for an original BMW pump. Compare prices before agreeing to repairs.
On Wednesday, my car died with a low fuel pressure code. I called Brake Plus, and they told me they could fix it. I paid approximately $1,700 for the repair.
Five days later, on Monday morning during rush-hour traffic, my vehicle died again with the exact same symptoms and would not start.
Because the repair was supposedly under warranty, I had the vehicle towed back to Brake Plus. Instead of honoring the repair, I was told my low-pressure pump now possibly needed additional work. It took all day Tuesday for them to diagnose the vehicle, and then they presented me with another estimate of approximately $1,300, despite the repair requiring only about two hours of labor.
On Wednesday, I even received a phone call telling me my car was fixed. When I arrived, I was told that was not true, and no one knew who had called me.
AJ another con artist and cry baby personally promised me, "I promise personally your car will be ready Thursday." He also told me that if they could not repair it, they would tow it to the local BMW dealership, and I gave permission for that.
Thursday came with no phone calls. After being unable to get updates, I went to the shop in person and discovered my vehicle was gone. I was then told it had already been towed to a third-party BMW repair facility somewhere in Denver. Only after I asked was I given the address.
This raises a serious question: Does Brake Plus subcontract repairs they cannot perform while charging customers full retail prices? That was my experience.
When I contacted the BMW shop, I learned my fuel pump had been replaced twice and several fuses had failed. I was without my vehicle for more than a week.
I contacted Brake Plus corporate and the Regional Manager, but no one ever returned my calls. Eventually I was told they were "washing their hands" of the situation and refused to repair my vehicle. During an argument, Jessie claimed they were not responsible because the problem was "electrical," despite my vehicle originally being brought in for the same low fuel pressure issue.
A week later, BMW completed the repairs. BMW told me Brake Plus had been calling them throughout the day, yet Brake Plus never once contacted me. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, Brake Plus attempted to have BMW collect payment from me. I refused because I believed this situation resulted from Brake Plus's unsuccessful repairs.
My advice is simple: do your research before bringing your vehicle here. In my experience, the BMW dealership charged less, used original BMW parts, communicated professionally, and ultimately fixed the vehicle correctly. Brake Plus's parts markup was excessive, communication was poor, and the entire experience was frustrating from beginning to end.
Also, there was a 2024 lawsuit involving Brake Plus and a BMW engine that is part of the public record.
