You’ll need to read through this review to understand why I am giving Penske 5 stars instead of 1 star. Our rental experience in Parker started out as a nightmare. Three different men in three different locations (Aurora and Parker) lied to me about checking over the truck we were renting to make sure it was in good shape and clean. This was because our first experience moving our daughter from California to Florida with a Penske truck was also a nightmare. The truck was in poor condition and the engine had nonstop issues during the trip. That’s why I checked multiple times with these men to make sure it was all good before we rented it. Turns out, not one of the three men actually did what they promised. The truck was filthy, damaged, and the check engine light came on as soon as we started up the engine. We had 12 people waiting at our house to pack up - and no truck. I wanted to cry. Then came Ashley Roulstin, the Consumer Development Manager for Penske. She is why I am giving this a 5 star rating. She arranged another truck for us in Castle Rock, personally talked to the people there to make sure we got a clean and well running truck, and then handled all the paperwork for us. She called us, texted us, and made sure we were compensated for all the trouble. She was super nice and helpful. There was even more that went on that day that made it so tough, but she made the day end on a positive note. We drove almost 2,000 miles in that truck without the slightest trouble. That’s why I gave this 5 stars instead of 1 star.
