- CJCheryl Johnson2 days ago1.0Will never shop here just based on the delivery driver experience I had. A driver of one of their little ford maverick trucks was recklessly driving and nearly had me in a collision with them and another poor soul on the road minding their own business and driving safely in the rain. This white truck license plate BQJM23-CO took it upon themselves to drive erratically. You work for an auto parts store. It’s not that serious. Also that sticker saying “this vehicle is monitored by gps” is a joke. If it were monitored you would have been fired by now for driving like that.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
