  The absolute worst car rental experience ever. Please don't even think about renting here. After booking a car and paying for the full rental weeks before the rental period, confirming the rental by phone the day before, and doing the online check-in, I receive a call once arriving in Boulder that Sixt no only doesn't have our reserved car available, they have NO cars at all. Completely ruined our first 2 days of vacation as now we have to scramble with endless calls to get our money refunded and book a car at another agency. Please read all these horrible reviews - wish I did before booking. This place shouldn't even exist. Absolute worst customer service when you try to call as well, they simply couldn't give a shit. Wish I could give zero stars

  Advertised and reserved cars that were not available in the size we needed. Did not offer a price discount or comparable sized vehicle without tripling the cost. Bait and switch. Upgrading rating as they offered a credit for not having the reserved vehicle available 2 days later. Luckily the car we received barely had enough room for our luggage.

  I booked a full size SUV (X5 or similar) on July 16, 2026 for a pick up of July 17th, for a last minute trip with my son in which we needed some extra space. I called Sixt the next morning at 9 am to confirm I would receive the reserved class and type of vehicle I booked. I was told I’d the specific car size I requested was availabe. I arrived 6 hours later only to be told I was going to be down graded to a mid size (X3 or similar, basically the same vehicle I own) at full price of the full size SUV I booked, because they had high demand. I was told the manager would be down to help me shortly. After waiting 10 minutes the joker behind the desk informed me the manger would cancel my booking at no charge and I was free to leave. At no time did anyone offer to help find me an alternative solution, the size vehicle I needed at a different location or a reduced price for the downgrade. Complete bait and switch. What makes it worse is I watched the joker upgrade the attractive women in front of me from a mid size sedan to a 4 runner. . . Sixt Boulder is awful. Looks like I’m taking my business back to Enterprise.

  Today I had to make changes to my car rental reservation, and the staff were so helpful! They were accommodating, made me laugh, and went out of their way to make sure I didn't pay extra fees. Their kindness was very much appreciated during a stressful time. Thank you so much!

  My pick up experience was very good. Robert at the desk was a thorough professional and friendly. I appreciate getting the upgrade.
