A few years ago, the services here were great. I am not sure if there have been changes in ownership or management, but things have gone downhill there. The customer service has been awful the last few times I went. The last time I went specifically for my battery. So.eone came out to talk to me and explain it was low and I confirmed that yes, I wanted it changed. When I went to start it later, it was still having problems. When I called to ask about it, I was told I never asked about my battery and no one spoke to me about my battery. I spoke with the same person on the phone that helped check me out and he was rude in person and when I called. He rolled his eyes and sighed at another customer who was waiting and asked to pick up his vehicle. This used to be an affordable place to get kind and efficient service. Now you get terrible customer service and apparently the crew cannot even properly communicate to perform the services you come in for.

Always an easy stop into Grease Monkey! They’re so kind and thorough. They make getting an oil change pretty easy, I was there for less than a half hour. Trustworthy service!

(EDITED REVIEW (4/29/26) VP of operations called me and got the situation resolved, I got a full refund. This place has legit customer service and made a mistake and owned up to it actually. This is a good grease monkey and they do care about their customers, truly.) Came in for a simple oil change and left with a $430 bill I never approved. Within 10 miles of leaving after an oil change, my check engine light and two other warning lights came on for the first time ever on a vehicle I've owned for years with zero issues. Brought it back, they diagnosed it, told me spark plugs needed to be replaced (Technically, an oil change shouldn't affect spark plugs. BUT a few things could connect them: If they overfilled the oil, excess oil can foul plugs and cause misfires. If they jostled a vacuum hose or sensor (MAF sensor, etc.) and didn't reseat it, that'll throw misfire codes. The VSC and VSC OFF lights coming on alongside check engine is actually consistent with misfires - Toyota's system disables stability control when the engine is misfiring. So the lights themselves don't prove spark plugs are the root cause.) The manager told me he would call back after I dropped off the vehicle today, and without ever calling me for approval or giving me an estimate, they went ahead and did $680ish worth of work including parts that were never even part of the original diagnosis. They had the one girl working call instead of management, she had to put him in immediately after I was understandably frustrated they did work without asking. Manager admitted on the spot that he forgot to call me before doing the work because they were "too busy" and acknowledged he was supposed to. They knocked some off the price but it was still way over market rate for what was done. I feel violated that I went to a corporate mechanic shop and got fleeced like everyone always says... owned by FullSpeed Automotive, which is part of the private equity firm MidOcean Partners. PE is ruining America in every industry I guess. The staff was friendly enough to try to discount a price I never approved or expected to happen to my wallet today, but friendliness doesn't make up for performing unauthorized repairs on someone's car and hoping they just pay the bill. Do yourself a favor and go to an actual Toyota mechanic in Boulder if you have one or any other local mom and pop shops - there are plenty. This corporate owned place will smile at you and take advantage of you at the same time. The work itself may or may not have been needed, but performing unauthorized repairs and adding unapproved parts without contacting the customer first is illegal in Colorado, and the admission of that wrongdoing is documented. Proceed with caution.
