- LELamont Edmonds1 day ago1.0i bought a platinum battery 9 months ago it went bad had a hard time getting it replace finally did now it’s going bad again took car to pep boys thought it was alternator they said it was the battery took it to advanced auto their scanner said it was good but pep boys said it was the coils in the battery that were bad so my car damn near dies every morning and advances auto is basically saying it has to die all the way before i can get it replaced i even let them speak to the mechanic this crazy i will never spend money with them on a battery ever again this is. ad business think im trying to get free new battery? i have a 4 year warranty i haven’t even had a year unacceptable

Perhaps some more customer service training is need for this store. No worries i drove to one of the other parts stores within a block and spent my money with them Dash cam available if corporate would like to see this encounter

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
