  Unreliable - DO NOT use if you are planning a road trip. As part of a USA road trip planned for 12 months prior to arriving in August I had decided to hire a vehicle with Enterprise. Having done my research and to align with where we were staying initially in LA I decided to use Enterprise West Hollywood. I figured that as part of a huge multi-national car rental company this would give me the best chance to get the level of vehicle I needed and a high level of support should anything go wrong along the 3000-mile journey. Unfortunately, I was very wrong in my estimation of Enterprise West Hollywood. Having made an online reservation in March 2026 I figured with almost 5 months’ notice I would be certain to receive the Full Size SUV which I needed for my family and I. As it turned out, as I left for Heathrow Airport at 4am in the morning, I received an email that Enterprise West Hollywood, 3 days before I was due to collect the vehicle could no longer fulfil the reservation. No time to do anything at this point I had to make the plane! Having never travelled to the States before it was already an anxious time for us and this was not the start I envisaged having. Filled with anxiety, I made the flight to LAX where I emailed Enterprise West Hollywood asking if there was a way they would be able to source the vehicle I’d reserved from another branch especially given the late notice from them. They said they could not do that and attempted to palm me off with a Chrysler Pacifica saying there was a shortage of Full Size SUV’s across the whole of California. I refused their offer and cancelled the reservation. Instead of making our way straight to the hotel my tired family and I, luggage in tow, were forced to visit the LAX Car Rental centre to see if I would be able to reserve the vehicle I needed elsewhere. I once again approached Enterprise (LAX) and they said they said they would 100% be able to fulfil the request. However, the airport price was 100’s of dollars more than that of Enterprise West Hollywood and not something I’d accounted for in my costings. We were so tired from our flight I was just grateful to secure the vehicle we needed and did not have the energy to shop around. 3 days later I went to collect the vehicle from LAX and low and behold there were TEN full sized SUV for me to choose from! Why the West Hollwood branch couldn’t make these arrangements for me is an example of sheer poor customer service especially when leaving people in the lurch at the last minute. Our whole road trip of 3 weeks was predicated on us having a full sized SUV hence why I’d reserved months earlier. A 3-day notice of unavailability is simply unacceptable, and I cannot fathom why the branch cannot plan their fleet more than 3 days in advance. It just wasn’t enough time for me to efficiently look elsewhere for the best deal. I’d advise anyone who is planning a USA road trip not to rely on Enterprise West Hollywood unless you want to risk the hassle of the reservation being cancelled at the last minute. The Enterprise branches seem to all operate separate fleets which as the customer is not my concern. I am using the company Enterprise so to be told one branch cannot organise a vehicle from another branch in these types of situation is a black mark on the whole of the company. I shall be writing separately to Enterprise Head office to express my disgust at being treated in this way as a customer. The late notice I got from the local branch caused me a lot of anxiety and cost me a lot of extra money. Please don’t let it happen to you.

  Easy to book online. Was in and out within 5-10min for pick up and drop off. Employee, guy with glasses, seems like he’s really got it down and knows how to run the whole process really well. Great car, many options.

  Worst experience ever! The vehicle smelled like cigarettes and the front windshield wiping features did not work. It was a nightmare. They were not letting me change out the car. I am very unhappy. Never again. There are much better car rental companies out there. It seems that all their car are pretty beat.
