Jonathan is amazing! Friendly, professional and very personable. Explains everything as it goes on. We came here after going to jiffy lube. Jiffy lube wanted us to check in ourselves, and only gave online options of bringing your own oil, or full synthetic. Judy lube wanted us to sign a form if we verbally asked for different oil. Valvoline did offer other options and explained why certain oils were recommended, opposed to jiffy lube just saying "this is what the system recommends". Valvoline was also cheaper regardless of any coupons offered by jiffy lube.

Excellent, professional, courteous and knowledgeable team led by Darin, the AG. Stopped by on my way to work pulled into the bay and immediately team member Shayden and a crew of four got busy. While Darin took down all the required info. Darin also recommended other services i might need, but wasn’t at all pushy about it; which is good. All told I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Highly recommend going here for your next oil change.

I came in for a routine oil change on my Ford Transit 250. Opted in for a cabin air filter, radiator flush, wiper change and tire rotation with the Full Synthetic Oil change. It was very Hot that day and I was met with excellent customer service despite the grueling working conditions. They took care of all my maintenance requirements fast and effectively. Communication between the team members was top notch and safety was a top priority. I always use Valvoline and will continue to do so because I’m always taken care of properly.

Everyone is always so friendly and helpful, they deserve a better working environment so they stay cooler on hot days and have the sun blocked so it’s not on them while they’re working so hard to take care of their customers. I’m thankful for them and their employer should be as well and provide more ways for shade them and keep them cool. Thank you West Covina VALVOLINE team. I will also be writing to corporate!

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I've been a loyal Valvoline customer for over a decade, but after this experience, I will never trust them with my vehicle again. I took my 2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid in for a routine oil change, and the very next day my vehicle went into limp mode while I was driving my son to summer camp. My vehicle would not go over 25 mph, and both the check engine light and hybrid system warning came on. As a mother, it was terrifying to have my brand-new vehicle suddenly become unsafe to drive with my child in the car. Thank god we were not on the freeway when it happened. Because my vehicle is only a little over a year old and still under factory warranty, I immediately took it to the Kia dealership. The technician told me I was fortunate I brought it in immediately because continuing to drive the vehicle could have caused more serious damage. Their diagnostic report confirmed the engine oil had been overfilled by an outside shop, and they had to correct the oil level before clearing the warning lights and verifying the vehicle was operating properly. Looking back, there were warning signs from the moment I arrived at Valvoline. The employees initially pulled up someone else's name and vehicle, and I had to tell them it wasn't mine. Then they asked me three different times whether my vehicle was a hybrid—even though it is clearly marked as a hybrid. It gave me very little confidence that they knew what they were doing. The crew that performed my oil change were CSR Ulyses, Kenneth, and Ernesto! What has been even more disappointing than the mistake itself is how Valvoline has handled it afterward. I submitted the dealership invoice for the diagnostic fee and labor that I should never have had to pay in the first place. Instead of immediately taking responsibility, I've been given excuses and delays. Manager Ulyses told me there are three co-managers—and that they need to decide among themselves whether they are going to reimburse me. At no point has anyone taken ownership, apologized in a meaningful way, or assured me they would make this right. As of today I am still waiting for a call from Tony and have requested regional manager info. A reputable company doesn't make a customer fight to be reimbursed for expenses caused by its own mistake. The dealership documented that the oil was overfilled by an outside shop. I provided that documentation, yet I'm still left waiting while management debates whether they should take responsibility. Mistakes can happen at any business. What separates a good company from a bad one is how they respond when those mistakes affect a customer. Instead of standing behind their work, this location has chosen to delay, deflect, and avoid accountability. That tells me the customer experience ends the moment you drive out of the bay. This wasn't just an inconvenience. It resulted in my brand-new vehicle going into limp mode, an emergency trip to the dealership, diagnostic charges, lost time, unnecessary stress, and concern that my engine could have been damaged. Had I ignored the warning lights and continued driving, the outcome could have been much worse. If this is how Valvoline treats a loyal customer of more than 10 years, I can no longer recommend them. I encourage anyone who has recently had an oil change at this location to check their oil level immediately. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, because a company that refuses to own its mistakes doesn't deserve my trust—or anyone else's.
