We had a terrible overnight experience here on September 21st. After offering to pay for our space and being told where to park for a courtesy overnight with our RV, another manager came on shift and pounded on our door at midnight demanding that we move spaces. She was so rude and angry, we will never give Pilot our business again.

The idea of reviewing a Pilot truck stop in Weed, California, is sorta’ ludicrous when you think about it. It is a truck stop. It is in Weed. But I have been coming here for over two decades. Never have I left in a tizzy because my “experience” was not what I was expecting. Then again, I know what to expect when I stop at a truck stop in Weed. It appears others don’t understand where they are. Some of these negative comments are just amazing. Lady Petals, you do realize you are reviewing a Subway (an independent business in a truck stop)? What are you thinking? Pick the right target or pick another place to order a meal (or both). Paige, you seem to have a motor home. And you take really damning photos . . . of a truck stop in Weed. Have you considered investigative journalism? A. M., where did you get your law degree? But I get it. The world of debit is a hard one and this can cause problems. Just don’t act like you are about to stage a trial. It makes you come off as one of those ‘traveling’ citizens who don’t need to abide by normal practices. Memmen, I think your review is a pretty good one, insofar as it explains what a concept like “projection” means. Bonus points for the Warren reference (even if you needed to also mention Roark Capital to make some of your finely tuned invective stick). Nuff sed. This is a place to stop and get gas. Use the restroom. Buy some stuff, if you want to do so. And ask yourself: if you worked at the Pilot, or the Subway in the Pilot, in Weed, California, how likely is it that you are in a good mood? Sure, I have dealt with some stressed workers. I have also dealt with some that seemed a touch odd. But I have also interacted with some that were in a great mood and doing what they do, as all of them do, for a paycheck. Glad this place exists. I will keep stopping here. I also will keep my attitude in check. Why? Who gets an attitude at a truck stop or a Subway in a truck stop?!?! Flex much? Thankfully, you can use a mirror in one of their bathrooms to . . . well, you know, look in the mirror. Geesh.

Was one of my best stops. They are located very conveniently to other things near by. Store had clean restrooms and showers. Store, fuel lanes, and parking lot were clean. Only cleaning that could have been from what I saw was the dining area but that was still not horrible. Also staff here are friendly. I mainly worked with Shawn and Jay, and both went above and beyond to make my visit and others pleasant.
