The team was very helpful and attentive. They were patient with what I was asking for. They listened to me and made the experience better than prior negotiations I had at other dealerships. Thank you Humberto, Brian, Scott, and Alex. I love my new Tacoma.

Letter to Toyota Dealership & Corporate
Subject: Formal Complaint – Rodent Damage and Manufacturer Liability – [ Hybrid Toyotas]
To the Service Manager and Toyota Corporate Relations,
I am writing to formally express my extreme disappointment regarding the rodent infestation and subsequent electrical damage found in my vehicle. I was informed by your service department that Toyota does not cover these expenses; however, this is not merely an "outside influence" issue, but a design vulnerability specific to the quiet, insulated nature of hybrid and electric vehicles.
The absence of engine noise and the use of bio-plastic (soy-based) wiring insulation creates an environment that actively attracts rodents. This is a documented industry-wide concern that poses significant safety risks, including potential electrical fires and vehicle failure.
By failing to provide adequate deterrents or covering the repairs for a known environmental vulnerability, Toyota is shifting the burden of a design flaw onto the consumer. I am requesting a formal review of my case and a reconsideration of the repair coverage under my warranty or a goodwill gesture. I believe it is time for Toyota to update its policies to protect customers from these recurring electrical hazards.
Sincerely,
Norberto Rodriguez Carrillo.
Message for Legal Counsel
Subject: Inquiry Regarding Product Liability – Rodent Damage in EVs/Hybrids
Dear [Lawyer Name],
I am seeking legal consultation regarding a product liability matter involving my [Model Name] vehicle. My car recently suffered extensive electrical damage due to a rodent infestation.
While the manufacturer claims this is an act of nature, there is a strong argument that the vehicle’s design—specifically the ultra-quiet operation and the use of soy-based wiring—makes it uniquely susceptible to these hazards compared to traditional internal combustion engines. I am interested in exploring whether there is grounds for a collective action or a consumer protection claim, as many other drivers are facing the same "wash their hands" approach from manufacturers like Toyota and Tesla.
I have photo evidence of the nest and the damage caused. Please let me know if you are available to discuss the merits of this case.
Best regards,
Norberto Rodriguez Carrillo

Headline: THE HIDDEN DANGER OF THE "QUIET" REVOLUTION 🐀🔌
We need to talk about the saddest part of the hybrid and electric vehicle story. Because these cars are so quiet and lack the heavy smell of gasoline, they have become the #1 home for rats and mice.
I just found a massive nest inside my vehicle. The worst part? Toyota refuses to take responsibility. They told me they aren't responsible for these electrical problems, even though their designs make these cars a "luxury hotel" for rodents.

Tips for first time buyers of a car. (35-50k gross year salary)
I would say to go with a used car that comes with a warranty. You're going to want to get something about 10-15k total after taxes and financing.
Go with your gut feeling if you don't want to take a deal the salesmen's opinions are near worthless as their goal is to influence you to buy the car, they aren't your buddy or friend nor do they have true heart or compassion in guiding you in any financial/mechanical direction. If you qualify you're good to go in their book. I didn't appreciate the salesmen's actions in terms of grace and honesty. Some vehicles here have a third party security system installed (completely unnecessary) I was told it was instead of them just tacking on an up charge for it being a vehicle with electric capabilities (hybrid) that they at least give you something. Ummm yeah no. Having a vehicle needlessly modded with something that results in a subscription to even utilize is not anything it's better off not modifying the vehicle. Remind yourself that you have options and don't for a second feel bad if you walk away from their deal. Get exactly what you need and want. Toyota had/has great apr deals if you get a vehicle during toyotathon, and on the financial side they are very communicative so as long as you buy in your budget with EVERYTHING in mind you won't have an issue here. On the mechanical side, however!, the maintenances were not the best. One maintenance a dude clearly had moved my camber and said I needed an alignment when I specifically didnt drive it in that way ALSO had just had an alignment done a couple months prior also under inflated my tires which resulted in a blowout on the road and nearly crashed the whole vehicle (spun out on the freeway) yes I could have adjusted the air myself BUT that shouldnt have been my responsibility to handle at that point if the vehicle was serviced properly and with safety/care in mind. ONE Toyota dealership was actually very good and helpful out of the ones I went to but I do not believe it was the dealership itself but rather was the person attending to me. I believe this because one time that same dealership tried to hold my vehicle overnight without informing me they didn't have time to get to the vehicle. I had to call and wait for the manager to drive all the way down to access my key in order to grab my vehicle. Idk what the issue really is but definitely only go with this company if the car payment is something you don't even need to budget for or think about. If you're tech savvy and are buying knowing you have to think about car payments/insurance payments , run away from this company fast. Reminder that getting a vehicle requires full coverage so put that into factor. No one is going to help you plan effectively to pursue your mission they need their own paycheck and will not discuss the factors thoroughly with you. I was slightly rushed on my signing as well so remember to take your time and if you're rushed just leave it's better to go with a place that is selling for not only their benefit but for yours as well. That's what creates real community and real winners. I regret every day not saying no and driving over to Chevrolet! Side note. My dad is a very well established car salesman and he BARELY knows anything about the mechanical side of vehicles but he sure knows how to sell one still. That should speak loudly in itself. Have a great day and stay awesome!
Critiques for the vehicle in review
(2023 Toyota Corolla hybrid sports edition)
Not having 4 wheel drive version available
There is no reason to not have a 4 wheel drive version available on lot.
Not having a version with upgraded stereo system is another one. Very cheap to have on the car when factoring all the upcharges the valley hi company has anyway.
The performance of the motor is abyssmal for uphill freeway driving. Nearly embarrassing with it's performance driving up the 15 cajon pass for being a sports edition
Not comfortable to sit in for extended periods
Pros: Great gas milage! Great exterior!

For a dealership that wants to sell cars you'd think they would be more professional. This place thinks they're the only Toyota to exist but forget if some people really want a car they will go further out for one, which I did. They kept trying so hard to move me onto a different car, showing me a car that didn't match what I had asked for or was shown, and trying to pressure me into signing when I said I wasn't ready just yet. Horrible attitude all around from everyone I met with here.
It could have just been the bad apples from here or maybe everyone here sucks but if you ever have a negative experience here I recommend leaving and taking your money elsewhere. Most people buying will be paying this car off for years and years. Don't give that money to people who won't respect you or your time. That's what I did and now I'm happily driving my new car from Crown Toyota in Ontario.
