I highly recommend Rick Dennis in sales for a great deal. The service department is a different story, especially the Techs working on the vehicles.
My Brand new car had a leak so I took it in for warranty repairs, the staff up front was great but that’s where the good vibes end.
The Techs working on my car scratched it a few times and hit the doors a few times, they also put the wrong Oil weight in my car! Unbelievable incompetence in the work area, STAY AWAY FROM THESE TECHNICIANS IF YOU VALUE YOUR VEHICLE AND SANITY.
Best customer service ever! Took my Forester in for her one year maintenance checkup and left with a video of work performed. A video! I was so impressed by everyone that I came in contact with. They went over everything that was filled, changed, rotated, measured and replaced. I felt like I was their only customer. I should mention they did all of this in just about an hour while I waited in their very comfortable customer lounge.
I bought a certified 2024 Subaru Outback Limited XT with the help of my long-time dear friend Eric Oland who's been working at Kirby Subaru for many years. Eric is honest, personable, professional, and not the typical pushy salesperson. He was patient with me, as I visited the dealership more than a few times, as I was getting clear on what I wanted from my next car. Eric is someone you can trust to take good care of you through your car-buying process. Go see him!

I brought my vehicle in on April 20, 2026 for routine service. Unfortunately, since the appointment, I have experienced multiple issues involving parts that were serviced or accessed during the visit.
When my vehicle was returned, the tow hitch cover was missing. Because I live in Santa Barbara, I had to make an additional trip back to Ventura to have the part replaced, which your team did address.
Shortly afterward, I found my vehicle registration from the glove box lying on the floor under the passenger seat. When I attempted to place it back into the glove box, the glove box assembly fell apart in my hands. I understand parts can wear over time, but there was no prior issue with the glove box before service, nor was I informed that any clip or component appeared damaged or fragile during the cabin air filter replacement, which requires access behind the glove box. I have already arranged another appointment in June to have this repaired.
Most recently, I discovered that my windshield wiper is now broken as well. I had the wipers replaced during the service visit and have not handled them since. That I was able to fix one my own.
At this point, I am extremely disappointed that multiple items connected to this single service appointment have come back damaged or broken. What should have been a routine visit has now required — and will continue to require — multiple trips between Santa Barbara and Ventura to correct these issues.
I sent them this exact email and never heard back from them. My glove box has been now fixed on my 3rd trip there.

Bobby is the best. Hands down. If I had to buy another car tomorrow I’d go back to Bobby. I’ll just tell anyone looking for a new car to go to Kirby in Ventura and ask for him. After meeting with a rather slimy salesman BEFORE coming to Kirby Subaru, talking to Bobby is like hanging out with a friend. He was easy to talk to and very cool. He also became best buds with my sales team (my friend that knows far more about cars than I do). We’re all gonna hang out later. And Valerie in finance was just as friendly, we joked and laughed the whole time, which made sense, because we both moved here from the same place. There was also a very nice salesman on his way out that gave my friend and me cookies while we waited for Bobby. Not gonna lie, the cookies were good.
