I have mixed feelings about my review. In the first hand, my car is no longer leaking oil. In the second hand, I was lied to, ignored, and made to feel like a bothersome client. I had to make more than one trip to this location for leaking oil; after it was fixed and I paid over $900.00.
I was recommend to this location by another Jiffy Lube station (Rancho Cucamonga), where I originally had my car's oil changed in March. I returned 3 times.
May 15, 2026, Friday 6:15AM, I drive to RC Jiffy Lube. They conduct the same routine and say, "The filter housing gasket is leaking." And then they recommend me to Upland Jiffy Lube.
Ernesto (management) comes into the waiting area to share with me the diagnosis of my car. He explained that they concluded that it's the oil filter housing gasket is worn out and it needs to be replaced.
After 5 hours of waiting, my car is done. I pay and go home. Sunday morning, my clean driveway has fresh oil leakage! I drive back to Upland Jiffy Lube. I ask for Ernesto but tech tells me, "Ernesto is not here." She walks into the office and seconds later, she and Ernesto walk out of the office and says, the technician is going to take a look and see why your car is still leaking oil.
Minutes later, the technician, tells me that the transmission oil is leaking and needs to be replaced. I am shocked and upset. Confused, I ask "Then the housing gaskets were not the problem!?" The technician says, "I can see oil coming from the transmission. I don’t know what they did Friday because I was not here."
I said, "Ernesto, in great detail, you explained to me that the Oil Filter housing gasket was the problem. They fixed it and I paid. Now you are telling me that the transmission is leaking!" Why didn't you say that Friday. How did you all miss that? Ernesto explains "You see, sometimes we can see where the leak is coming from but that area was too difficult to detect."
Ernesto explains "We don't work on transmission issues but as a one time courtesy, I will order the parts and we will fix the problem. After that, you are responsible for it yourself." He walked away upset and tells the technician to drive the car around and wait for an available bay. Two hours go by, my car is still parked outside and the bay has been available for sometime now. I get no acknowledgement, no update on the parts, I am feeling ignored. I walk into the office and ask for Ernesto but he is not available to talk with me.
I ask a technician for an update but he only says, "I don't know." Finally, Ernesto walks out and tells me, "The technician is going to do a thorough WASH of the area with a spray." At this point, I am confused because I am thinking at what point are they going to work on the transmission.
Another hour and a half goes by and the technician walks into the waiting area, hands me my car fob and tells me that my car is ready.
Of course I asked, "Is the transmission part working well? Ernesto said that it was leaking and he ordered the part for it." The young man was confused and said, "No, I was only told to do a deep cleaning of the area. He didn't order anything, as far as I know. But your car is ready." I asked to speak with Ernesto, but they told me he was not available.
I feel very disappointed with the way management treated me. I was ignored, lied to and wasted my time waiting for parts that Ernesto never ordered for my car. Instead he orders a deep clean of the area and never speaks to me again about the transmission leaking. I called several times and left messages but I have yet to hear from Jiffy Lube as of today. I will Never take my car back to any Jiffy Lube again. Ernesto was polite and kind until I questioned his diagnosis for my car. To this day, I question, did the oil filter housing gasket really needed to be replaced and why was I told my transmission was leaking?
I'm terribly sorry for the lengthy review, but I needed to explain my disappointment with Jiffy Lube employees.
