I purchased a 2023 Nissan Sentra from this dealership last summer, and after having time to reflect and do more research, I feel that I was misled during the sales process. I was told that add-ons like the license plate and door handle protection were typically priced around $3,000 at other dealerships. Based on that information, I agreed to include them in my purchase. However, I later learned that these items usually cost far less and are often optional. As a college student who saved for years, I relied on the information provided to me. Looking back, I feel the pricing and value of these add-ons were not clearly or honestly represented. Additionally, the negotiation process was frustrating. Our salesperson repeatedly went back and forth to the manager’s office instead of having direct, transparent conversations with us. We were never given the opportunity to speak with the decision-maker face to face, which made the process feel indirect and pressured. I encourage future buyers to carefully review all add-ons and not feel rushed into agreeing to them. I hope the dealership improves transparency so others don’t have a similar experience.

1 star for Nissan of Torrance — very disappointing experience. I drove 75 miles on three separate occasions to see a vehicle they advertised, and each time it wasn’t available. Initially, I was told it was at a body shop 45 minutes away in Santa Ana for minor bumper repairs. That process dragged on for days, with explanations that the body shop’s paint equipment had malfunctioned. After that, the car was repeatedly “being detailed” and still unavailable. When I finally saw it, it did not appear to have been properly repaired or detailed—it was still dirty, had visible marks, and the door panel was not even fully reassembled. I was told the window had been unplugged for a repair and never put back together. The sales experience was equally frustrating. I was passed between multiple employees, including a new hire who couldn’t answer basic questions, requiring constant back-and-forth with a senior staff member. On top of that, warranty information was inconsistent and unclear on a vehicle that had already undergone significant repairs early in its life. I was ready to move forward with a purchase (even prepared to pay cash around $14,000), and had left a deposit to hold the car. I am still waiting on that refund. In the end, I chose to take my business elsewhere and found a much better vehicle. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend confirming vehicle availability and condition before making the trip. And based on my experience, I’d take anything they say with a grain of salt…. Or better yet just avoid the place completely. Update: Thank you for the response. I have now received my deposit refund, and I appreciate that being resolved. That said, my overall experience was still extremely disappointing. If a customer is invited to come view and potentially purchase a vehicle, the car should actually be on the lot, completed, and ready to be shown. I came ready to buy a car, this should have been a one-day process, not three separate 75-mile trips (plus an additional day since the car still wasn’t ready on my third/ final trip either) The final time I visited, I waited several hours because I was told the vehicle was receiving its “final detailing.” After finally seeing the car, it was still dirty, had visible marks, and the door panel was partially disconnected. I was then told a part for the door/window repair was arriving later that same day so it could be reassembled. That is not what most buyers would consider “fully repaired,” “fully detailed,” or “pristine condition.” I understand repairs and reconditioning can take time, but customers should not repeatedly be asked to drive long distances for a vehicle that is still incomplete and unavailable for proper inspection. In the end, I chose to purchase elsewhere and found a much better vehicle and a much smoother buying experience. Hopefully this feedback helps improve communication and preparation for future customers.

Capri Blas, Service Advisor at Nissan of Torrance, delivered an excellent experience. I brought my Ariya electric SUV in for service yesterday, and she handled everything flawlessly; professional, attentive, and incredibly easy to work with. Communication was clear throughout, and she made the entire process seamless. Truly fantastic job.
