  SAFELITE - Bait and Switch / False Advertising I chose Safelite over other quotes because they assured me they could do the full job - windshield replacement WITH camera recalibration - for $620 total ($395 for calibration alone). They had my car for 5+ HOURS just to replace the glass, then told me they COULD NOT calibrate it with no explanation at all. They removed the calibration fee, but left me with an incomplete and unsafe job. Now I have to take more time off work to get it calibrated elsewhere, and other shops are quoting over $600 just for the calibration Safelite claimed they could do for $395. This is bait and switch. If you can't do the calibration, tell the customer BEFORE you waste their entire day. Unprofessional and dishonest. Never again

  Don’t go here they’re lazy with their work. I’ve been waiting for a refund for a failed repair since July and the managers here Linda and Edgar are lacking in their customer service. When calling the main line no one can ever get ahold of them it’s ridiculous. Don’t waste your time here.

  I have used Safelite in the past for windshield repair or replace. I have found them to be unsatisfactory and lack. This particular experience went very well. But they are one for three. They will still need to keep doing better to earn my repeat business. That being said Daniel technician at the SunValley location was Great.

  Safelite is the way to go when life happens they are able to meet you where your at. From the ease of the website to easy scheduling to great technicians you can’t go wrong. And quality work.

  To start - 3 illegal actions by Safelite & the manager at Sun Valley. Illegal actions 1 & 2) I preauthorized a special for $980 to replace windshield, wipers & get windshield treatment. Safelite my preauthorization w/o my consent to $1009 & removed the windshield treatment. In addition to changing the preauthorization w/o my knowledge the change in service & cost is known as a BAIT & SWITCH. Illegal action 3) After the tech installed the windshield he started calibration. He called me later to come out because their calibration unit was interfering with the factory hood scoop on my vehicle. The recalibration was not performed. When I told the Sun Valley manager I was not paying for the recalibration she decided to send my account to collections. It is a violation of CA Civil Code 1788, CA Business & Professions Code 1788, & Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices to knowingly send an account to collections for services that were not performed. All this was the 2nd attempt to get the windshield replaced because they showed up with a defective windshield the 1st time. It took 3 days of phone calls & emails to get the invoice corrected & get the bill paid. UPDATE 10/5/2026 There was no confusion. I authorized one charge and Safelite changed that authorization. End of story. There is nothing confusing about that. If you would like to push this further I'm sure the CA Attorney General's Office would be happy to chime in.
