  I have an older truck with low mileage that I’m keeping in good shape. I was looking for a quality shop that would do good work and found C&M automotive. The reviews were very good so even though I live in Calabasas and C&M is in Simi Valley I gave it a try. I’m very glad I did. Dropping off my truck for a frozen door lock (unable to lock the truck) and what turned out to be a faulty ignition switch, I met Richard at C&M. C&M had my truck for a few days as they diagnosed the troubles and ordered the parts (the truck is 35 years old) and had my truck sorted in fairly short order. They also replaced the battery which died while it was in the shop. When I picked it up there was some confusion on my part about the bill, a two hundred dollar charge which I didn’t understand because it wasn’t on my latest estimate from them. It had me feeling that I was being overcharged. Richard explained it all to me but I still wasn’t quite understanding. Seeing that I was still not satisfied Richard just removed the charge. I was amazed, customer service! They actually cared if I was satisfied. That is not the end of the story. They showed me they want the work done right. A couple of months after I picked my truck up I discovered the door panel wasn’t seated securely. When I called C&M they were very concerned that the panel wasn’t secure. They had me bring it to them at my convenience and got it squared away in very short order. Needless to say they’re my shop now. Everybody has problems and things don’t always happen the way it should but, in my book, it’s all how you respond and C&M stepped up for me in a big way. I can’t recommend them highly enough. In this day and age they are a welcome reminder that you can do the right thing and service is king. Loyal C&M customer Randal Thomas

  I chose to go to C&M Automotive and Transmission because of the good reviews and the location close to my house. I was very happy with their service, the price and how quickly my car was fixed. Coincidently, the driver who helped me to jump start my car after the battery died, said he is taking his cars to the C&M as well. Very nice and caring people work there. They even offer the AAA discount.

  Absolutely would never recommend this place. They price gouge and misdiagnosed making me replace a converter that didn't need it when I brought the the codes from auto zone with the real problem. Now I have to take it to another mechanic to be fixed again..
