I have been using Sullivan Tires for new tires, oil changes, new brakes, etc for over 20yrs. My last few visits I have been charged outrageous prices for repair work. Sullivan’s quoted close to $4,000 for repair work. I was able to get the work done for $1,300 at Carmel Valley Garage. Free tire rotation? Yet I had to pay to balance the tires at $60 cost. I went to the new America’s Tires in Seaside and had the tires rotated and balanced for $40. I will never go to Sullivan Tires again for any kind of work on my car.

We were on vacation 6 hours from home and had a pretty significant issue come up with our truck. We came to Sullivan's because of their other great reviews and they definitely didn't disappoint! We had a great experience with Chris Cervantes helping us out. Customer service was above and beyond and we really appreciated the extensive walk through information they provided us with. Now we have pictures and details for everything we need to keep an eye on with our 23 year old truck! We were back on the road the next day. It was a huge stress relief and didn't put a damper on our vacation because we got another day to explore the Monterey area. Thanks so much Chris!

I had a wonderful professional, friendly and knowledgeable experience as I always do at Sullivan’s auto service. JD guided me through some very important tips and then turned me over to Chris who also is a service advisor. They are both very knowledgeable and helpful.
They have a wonderful working team and the mechanics in the back who are hidden from the Customer’s eyes are Due diligently investigating the concerns I had with my car and taking care of me and my car I want to thank all the working team in the back for all their hard greasy work. All in all the team expedited my experience by providing me with a loaner car I must think Ali, for that I just can’t say enough about the whole team all the way through. I think I’ve been working with Sullivan’s. since they opened 40 years ago, I’ve brought them every single car that I’ve owned and will continue. Their success rate is A+ 100% satisfied.

This what’s the worst experience I’ve ever had an automotive shop the price was outrageous. I knew more about the service than the technicians. Did they tried to give me a new transmission pan just because it didn’t have a drain plug all Chevys don’t have a drain plug. They should’ve knew that then when I picked up the vehicle, someone broke my running board on my truck and didn’t report it. I showed the manager before I left the facility and he said he’ll check into it he never called me back. I had to call down there totally unprofessional they did a maximum safety check and at the end they don’t even notice that the running board is broken Hanging and we’re sending me home like that unsafe needless to say, I would never recommend this place Sullivan tires for anything. There was a little old lady in there that I talked to you while I was waiting for my vehicle who said she was there for four hours for a simple leak in her tires. she was really mad. worst experience I’ve ever had

Attempted to get an oil change done at Sullivans and they refused to do the service. Why? Because I provided my own oil and oil filter. Their reasoning is they refuse to use customer provided parts. Why do I need these specific parts used on my car? The oil is a thicker viscosity than OEM (5W30 vs 5W40 motul) and helps reduce engine oil consumption. The oil filter was tested and determined to offer the best filtration for my vehicle(source is an hour long video testing all brands of compatible filter). I have taken the time to do the research and found these are the best parts to keep my vehicle on the road. I could understand the hesitation to use customer provided parts on larger repairs (axles, suspension, etc), but an oil change is simple. One of the advisors even stated he was aware that people who have my car use the exact oil/filter set up for the exact reasons listed above. If me bringing my own oil is that big of an issue then they should have called and told me. I made my appointment online 2 days before the service was to be done and even stated in the comments that i was looking to use my own oil/filter. The lack of communication, respect and how i was treated was so disappointing but not surprising. While this was my first and only attempt to get work done here, my family has brought their cars here for the past couple years and they usually complain of bad service or shady recommendations. One of them took their car in for an oil change recently and was told during the inspection that the front tires were bald and at 0/32. So they got new tires from a different shop and that shop said they were actually at 4/32, not 0. There is a distinct visual difference between bald and low tread. Being a former mechanic and hearing the stories from my family, i had to test them for myself. And they failed in a way i didnt expect. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. Especially if you have a performance car that you care about. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
I ended up going down to the street to the dealership to get the service done. Walked in no appointment, told them the situation with the oil/filter and guess what they said... no problem. Did the oil change with my parts and for $20 less than what Sullivans would.
You dont have to go to the dealer but definitely dont go to Sullivans.
