  My 2023 bmw ix was nearing the end of factory warranty, so i wanted an indy to do a full inspection for any issues. Apparently, they assigned a new hire who has limited experience with bmw cars. The whole process was unprofessional and disappointing: 1) When I asked about fault codes, they said there's only a bunch of uninteresting errors. When I requested the full report of fault codes, they said they didn't keep it. So I had to make another visit to get the full the report. It turned out there are 2 permanent errors, both of which are real issues that I confirmed with a BMW dealership. Clearly, this shop is either lazy or underqualified when it comes to explaining fault codes. 2) The inspection report mentioned the sun visor light doesn't work. That's not true ... apparently the technician didn't know how to turn on the sun visor light on bmw (i.e. don't flip it all the way). 3) A personal OBD scanner that I had in the car was gone after the service. They probably misplaced it somewhere. They asked me for an Amazon link, but then remained silent and claimed to have forgotten about it. I had my device back more than 4 weeks after the service.

  I can’t recommend Silicon Valley Bimmer enough. The owners are professional, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, honest. Finding a mechanic you can truly trust isn’t always easy, especially when it comes to BMWs, and these guys have earned my trust over the years. They’re straightforward about what your car actually needs, never try to upsell unnecessary work, and clearly take pride in what they do. They’re the only shop I’ve trusted with my cars, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable BMW specialist in the Bay Area.

  Extending my gratitude and appreciation as a loyal and long-time client of Silicon Valley Bimmer. I reside in Dublin, CA and yes, I make the drive all the way down to Santa Clara to service my vehicles here; simple oil service/maintenance to more involved work/repairs. Between my fiancé and I, they've taken care of all our vehicles for the better part of the last decade. They specialize in BMW but they are equipped for everything; to share--My 987.1 Cayman S, 997.1 Carrera S, her B8 S4, 8V S3, '17 Q7, and currently now, my 2013 E92 M3 and her 2019 X5 Xdrive40i. Every time I've been there, they are busy, and their lot and lifts are occupied(with everything from older cars to new, regular vehicles to modified machines that warrant a double take) They are good at what they do, they can do it all, and they cater to clients of all types; whether it's your daily commuter, family vehicle to your track duty weekend warrior. To me, that's a clear sign of a thriving business that produces a good product that I want to be a part of. Every time I've dropped off and picked up my vehicles, I feel genuinely welcome, included and familiar. They don't just know my car but they take the time to know me as well. Easy check out, clear discussion about the service and what to expect in the future, enjoy some car talk about what I might want to add to my shopping list, and I'm on the road. My work is also predicated upon prioritizing how I service my own business' clients; they say your biggest competition is not the store next door, or up the street, it's whatever establishment provided that same client with the most memorable experience. When I'm the client, and I'm spending my money--whether I go into a Starbucks, Nordstrom, a restaurant, wherever, and I'm asked to judge a place on their level of service; Silicon Valley Bimmer is the place I use to gauge every experience, and there are few that I can say do better.   I’ve been taking all my BMWs to SVBimmer for a while now. I’ve had my E36, F10, and F80 worked on there, and they’re one of the only shops I trust wholeheartedly with my cars. I actually drive down from the North Bay just to have my cars worked on here. It’s not exactly around the corner for me, but honestly, it’s worth the drive. When you have cars that you care about and put a lot of time and money into, having a shop you can actually trust makes a huge difference. The biggest thing for me is the combination of quality of work, pricing, and the knowledge they have. They know these cars. Whether it’s maintenance, repairs, diagnosing an issue, or performance work, I’ve always felt like I was dealing with people who actually understand BMWs and not just a shop throwing parts at a problem. Everyone there is knowledgeable and has been in the business for a long time. They’re also straightforward with you, which I really appreciate. I’ve never felt like they were trying to sell me on things I didn’t need. And probably most importantly, they take care of my cars like they’re their own. That’s a big deal to me. I’m pretty particular about who works on my cars, and I wouldn’t make the drive from the North Bay if I didn’t feel that way about SVBimmer. I’ve had three different BMWs there now, and I’ll keep going back. If you’re into BMWs and need a shop for maintenance, repairs, or performance work, I would 110% recommend giving them a shot.

  I’ve always taken my BMW’s to the dealership until I got tired of them upselling me on things I wasn’t confident I needed and the high cost of work/ quality. A coworker recommended Silicon Valley Bimmer and I’ve been taking my BMW’s there since. Ricardo and Dennis are highly knowledgeable and professional as is their staff. The biggest thing for me is having the confidence that my car will not only receive the right repair and service, but it will be done right and at SVB I have that confidence. They are car guys and treat my cars as an extension of their own. If you’re tired of the dealership runaround or are looking for a quality shop that will take care of your BMW I’d highly recommend SVB.
