My windshield was shattered on 101 and Safelight was recommended to repair it by a local body shop since they come to your home. I made an appointment for Tuesday and cleared my calendar. They told me the day before the appt. that they had to reschedule to Thursday between 1 and 5PM and it would take 2 hours for the repair. It was my birthday, but I cleared my calendar again to wait for them. There's no way to contact them to find out when they're going to show up. The tech came at 4:45. He told me that he could replace the windshield but had no way to calibrate it so that the forward looking camera would operate properly, which could cause all kinds of problems. No one told me that when I made the appointment and I had to cancel the service and take the car to the dealer. Now I have to deal with the insurance company as well. I would never recommend Safelite to anyone or use them again myself.

It’s been 5 weeks since I first contacted them. No one picks up the call, horrible service. Front desk is super rude. Have visited the store multiple times just to hear them say, we’re still waiting and no update. No one follows up and not transparent about the service. Please avoid this shop at any cost

I am extremely disappointed with my experience because the service failed to meet the time frame I was explicitly promised. I dropped my car off before 7:30 a.m. and was assured by the representative that the work would be completed within 3 to 4 hours— I explicitly confirmed no later than 1:00 p.m. When I arrived at 3:00 p.m. to check on my vehicle, the job was still not done, and I was told my appointment was for "all day," which directly contradicted my initial conversation. Additionally, I was unable to reach anyone by phone to check on the progress as there is no human to call to get an update. The quality of the work was also unacceptable. When I finally received my car after eight hours, the inside of the windshield had not been cleaned, and tape was still left on the vehicle. Most importantly, the new windshield has a noticeable blue tint that is inconsistent with the OEM glass. This entire experience lacked the professionalism I expected and left me late with a blue tinted windshield.

Hello Safelite customer Service team, I am writing you to file a complaint about the setting up of my appointment for a full windshield replacement. The person I spoke with online “Sherry Wilson” Mislead me to believe I was receiving a better deal for the same price when in reality she was adding on additional services, saying they were included. I asked Sherry for two quotes, one with insurance and one with out insurance She told me with insurance it would cost $1k Without insurance it would cost me $980 but it comes included with all weather windshield wipers, rain repellent and warranty. She did not tell me that the wipers and repellent were optional add on items that increased the order by $126.13. She deliberately lied to me to get me to include those items in the quote for a higher ticket price. I would have not added those items if she told me they were optional additional items that would cost me. Luckily I did my due diligence and checked my itemized receipt at my appointment today, and confirmed with the front desk that these should have been clearly stated they were additional. My total went from $985.55 to $859.42 This is really bad business practice and I would like to know what will be done to fix my situation as well as what will be done to prevent more people from being scammed by your employees? I would like to note that your front desk was great during my actual service 👍 but Sherry Wilson from the call center needs to be fired.
