- SASAM AJul 13, 20265.0Fausto is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I was frustrated about the damage to my wheel, but he immediately put me at ease. Less than two hours after I dropped off my car, he texted me to let me know the repair was complete. The service was fast, professional, and the quality of the work was excellent. I would highly recommend Fausto and Metalworks & Tire Place.

- SRSteve RheeJun 12, 20265.0If you are shopping around to get your calipers or drums painted, look no further and just book with this shop. I am absolutely thrilled with the end product! I brought in my 2023 Audi Q4 e-tron to get the front brake calipers and rear drums painted in glossy black. The owner did an incredible job—the workmanship is top-tier, crisp, and clean. It completely transforms the look of the car, and the finish is flawless. Beyond the stellar quality of the work, the customer service was amazing. The owner’s communication was excellent from start to finish. He was professional, clear, and kept me updated throughout the process. On top of that, his pricing is very competitive compared to other places I looked at. I’m uploading some before and after photos so you can see the difference for yourself. High-quality work, great communication, and fair pricing—what more can you ask for? I highly recommend him to anyone looking to level up their ride. I’ll definitely be back!
- DLDanielle LittleMay 24, 20265.0Fausto at Metal Works was amazing. I had a mysterious leak in my tire with no visible holes, and after going to several different shops, everyone kept telling me the tire was fine. I started thinking I might have a cracked wheel because nobody could find the issue. Fausto actually took the time to thoroughly inspect everything and went above and beyond to figure it out. He ended up finding a nail hidden inside the tire/wheel area that multiple other shops completely missed. The level of care and attention to detail was honestly impressive. On top of that, he was incredibly kind, professional, and took the time to educate me throughout the process. As a woman, I really appreciated that he explained everything clearly and never made me feel taken advantage of. Great shop, honest service, and genuinely good people. I’m so appreciative and highly recommend Fausto and Metal Works.

Frequently Asked Questions About Metalworks & Tire Place
Where can I get my rims repaired in Santa Ana, CA?
Metalworks & Tire Place offers professional wheel and rim repair services in Santa Ana for bent, cracked, scraped, or damaged wheels. We begin with a thorough inspection to determine if the wheel can be safely repaired, then provide a clear recommendation before proceeding with any repair work.
Can a bent wheel or rim be straightened?
Yes, in most cases. Metalworks & Tire Place performs wheel straightening for bent alloy, aftermarket, factory, and truck wheels. We use controlled hydraulic equipment to restore repairable wheels to proper tolerances, followed by remounting and balancing the tire. Since not all damaged wheels can be safely repaired, we conduct an inspection before recommending straightening.
How much does wheel repair cost in Santa Ana?
Wheel repair pricing depends on the damage type and severity, the wheel material, and the required repair work. Metalworks & Tire Place inspects your wheel first and provides a price estimate, ensuring you understand what the repair entails before you approve any work.
Can you fix curb rash on my rims?
Yes. Curb rash and other cosmetic wheel damage are often repairable and can be refinished. Metalworks & Tire Place repairs damaged rims and restores their appearance, making them look considerably better than they did following the initial curb impact.
What is better for wheels: powder coating or painting?
Both methods can deliver a quality finish, but each serves different purposes. Powder coating offers a durable finish that withstands brake heat, road debris, and regular driving conditions, while wheel painting provides a broader range of colors and finishes. Metalworks & Tire Place can help you select the appropriate option based on your vehicle, wheels, and aesthetic preferences.
How long does it take to powder coat wheels?
Most jobs can be completed the same day, though turnaround time varies depending on wheel condition, finish type, and the scope of more specialized projects. Metalworks & Tire Place handles wheel powder coating in-house, including all preparation, coating, and curing steps. Contact our shop with your wheel details to confirm the expected turnaround time for your particular project.
Can you paint my brake calipers?
Yes, most jobs are completed the same day. Metalworks & Tire Place offers professional brake caliper painting for everyday vehicles, luxury cars, and performance vehicles. Caliper colors can be customized to match your wheels or create a more visible appearance behind the spokes.
Does brake caliper painting affect braking performance?
Correctly executed brake caliper painting should not impact the braking system when proper preparation and protection measures are taken. Metalworks & Tire Place uses automotive-grade materials and follows a thorough preparation and painting process designed specifically for brake calipers.
Do you work on luxury, exotic, and OEM wheels?
Yes. Metalworks & Tire Place services a wide range of wheels, including OEM, aftermarket, luxury, and performance wheels. The shop has experience working on vehicles from Toyota and Honda to BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Tesla, and Lamborghini.
