  wouldn’t recommend, brought my car here because i didn’t have time to do the oil change myself, they tried to say something was wrong with my car. obviously my car is going to smoke when you sprinkle oil on my heat shield. they refused service when i called them out on it and i went to a different place on monterey who got the job done. edit: i also saw a woman and her daughter leaving the same time i did, they didn’t even close her hood all the way. that very much could’ve caused an accident on the freeway.

  Ride my 1990 Ford Bronco 5.8 l engine to them for a full synthetic oil change. Did my research, bought a zinc additive to put into oil as my truck needs it. They refused to put it in the engine for the oil change. Interesting business practice considering I was trying to help them not have a situation where my engine will be damaged. No reason was given as to why they refused to put it in the engine. Do you not recommend?

  Update 6/1/26: Call the store before you come in. They regularly do NOT have the staff available to complete services they CLAIM they have. Website and Google listing says they do SMOG checks. Website says JUST COME IN, NO APPOINTMENTS FIRST COME FIRST SERVED. So I came in. Got in line. And was immediately told the ONE person who is certified to SMOG, what do you know, is NOT working today. So they DO NOT provide the services they claim. CALL FIRST. Update 10/30/25: So, been using these guys for a while, and had been the one taking the car in so everything was fine (as a former racer, I know how much most things cost). This time my husband had to take the car in, and unlike me, he wasn't a racer and hasn't worked on cars. I told him when he got the oil change to have them take a look at the brakes. They tried to quote him over $500 additional to change JUST front brakes. That is RIDICULOUS! Luckily, I was smart enough to tell him to refuse if the price was over a certain amount. But between this and the rude behavior of the staff I'm pretty sad. Usually everyone is super helpful and nice, but this time everyone was rude and pushy. What's happened to this location? Did you try to take advantage of some you thought didn't know cars? How bad are you hurting that you have to overcharge people? ESPECIALLY given the current financial situation. SHAME on you for trying to gouge my husband. At this point, I wouldn't use this location unless you or someone you are with knows what the actual maintenance costs should be. I'll be getting my brakes done elsewhere and we'll see whether I come back ever again. Such professionalism and kindness...not a combination you see everyday. Getting our 2013 Ford Focus worked on, we scheduled an appointment through "RepairPal" (an extended warranty thing for CarMaxx purchases...if you know; you know; if not, not really important lol) for 12:30 pm. Showed up a little early for the appointment and it turns out that no appointments are necessary. Now they were super busy, so I was nervous. Man were they awesome though! They were very understanding of my situation and did what they could to work with me! They got me in and out much faster than expected, while still doing a full inspection! I'm not used to that level of customer service. Now, once upon a time, I used to rebuild and race imports (like 20 years ago lol). So I've worked on a lot of cars and know a good deal. These gentlemen were VERY good at what they do! They were very knowledgeable and good at communicating clearly what they were doing and what could be done next time. I like it when a shop doesn't try to break the bank with unnecessary extras. I have some pretty good faith in their service and will definitely be back. Tony at the counter inside was SUPER friendly and helpful, and got Beto to help explain and confirm about "RepairPal." Beto was patient and clear, even providing extra information about the program (which was great because he knows more than I do about it 😂). Beto was super friendly and helpful and a man of his word getting me out of there before the time I was worried about. Louis was the technician who worked on my car. He was very friendly and clear about what I needed and what they would be doing. He brought an additional noise to my attention (I was aware but didn't have the time to get it checked because they were busy); this was awesome because it will help people who don't know about cars. The techs were fast, but thorough, even vacuuming where they were in and out of the car, very courteous! Louis let me know before they did things, and then let me know next steps I probably want to take and when to take them. He was very clearly amazing at his job. I recommend this spot! They know what they are doing! No appointment necessary. They do have an inside waiting area, but as a "former" gearhead (are we ever over it...not really lol), I wanted to watch them work. But there is coffee and water inside...and a Wendy's next door. Attached some photos! Thanks Louis, Beto, and Tony! You guys are awesome!
