  I scheduled an appointment for Thursday, 05/07/2026 at 10:30 AM for a tire rotation. On the morning of the appointment, I received a call informing me that they were short on technicians and needed to reschedule me to the following week. I understood the situation and agreed to move my appointment to Tuesday, 05/12/2026 at 10:30 AM. Today, I arrived at the store at 10:23 AM. The store was empty with no customers waiting. There were two employees at the front counters. The employee on the left was on the phone, while the woman at the right counter was sitting there. When I approached her for assistance, she looked at me and simply said the other employee would help me, then ignored me afterward. Once the employee finished his phone call, I informed him that I had an appointment for a tire rotation. I explained that I had previously purchased and installed all four tires at another Skip’s Auto location in Silver Creek, where I was told I could receive tire rotations at any Skip’s Auto location. Since the Cottle Road location is closer to my house, I chose to schedule my service there. The employee told me the tire rotation was not free, then said he was “just kidding” and laughed think that he's funny or something. During the check-in process, while handling my paperwork and key fob, he repeatedly questioned why I came to this location instead of returning to Silver Creek, asking things like, “Why would you do it over here?” and “Do they not want to do it for you over there?” His attitude made me feel unwelcome and gave me the impression that he did not want to provide service. When I asked how long the tire rotation would take, I was told it would take 2–3 hours. I found this unreasonable considering the store was not busy at all and I had already waited over a week and a half due to the rescheduled appointment. At around 12:25 PM, I saw the technician move my car out into the parking lot. I waited several minutes, but no one updated me or said anything. I then had to walk up and ask whether my car was ready. I was told, again with attitude, that the car would only be ready once the paperwork was completed. I ultimately waited until 1:03 PM before leaving. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience, especially compared to the professional and efficient service I previously received at the Silver Creek location. When I had my tires purchases and installed over there plus the tire alignment, it took them only like 2 hours, but they are letting me know that they were short on technicians and the managers had to jump in to finishing the tires for my car with a professional attitude. In contrast of this Skip Tire in Cottle Rd, I had to wait over a week and a half for an appointment, only to spend nearly three hours for a simple tire rotation at an empty store, is unacceptable customer service. Based on this experience, I would not recommend the Cottle Road location to friends or family.

  I really needed two front tires for my car, in the worst kind of way, and the guys at Skip's worked out a payment plan for me and got me back on the road that day. Thank you Skip's.

  Went to the Skip’s on Cottle Road in San Jose. I had an Appointment, and they did the Alignment right away (another location does not monitor its appointments, so I’ve had to leave it all day). Two of the Tires were very worn, & needed replacing; I added that to the job, and was still out the same day, even though the SUV Tires had to be ordered. This is the best location for Skip’s tires.

  When I arrived I called and asked if someone could come out to talk to me in the handicapped space. She said no if I wanted a walk in appt I Needed to walk in. I can barely walk it is very painful but I got myself in there. She helped me but I wouldn't have needed to walk in there at all. They wouldn't let wait for it which would been a lot less painful for me. She scheduled next day appt at 10. When I got there She said it would be a wait. I had an actual appt. I waIted 1 1/2 hours just to have the wheel.put back on. As I waited several people with appt came in and were told they would have to come back later. What? Skips used to be a busy place where they would take care of you no matter what. They had a cheerful positive " let's get it done" attitude. Great customer service , one guy even drove me home. Now they have only 1 tech and a lady at desk who is not helpful. I may try a other location but don't go to the one on cottle road. I can't believe they ruined it.
