  The staff is very enthusiastic and has a good attitude. Not only is the car rental price cheap, but the service attitude is also good.

  Honestly, I was a little hesitant renting from this company because I’ve never rented via third party and I had also read some negative reviews. But, I went ahead and gave it a try and must admit it was a great experience from beginning to end! Everyone I dealt with was really nice and helpful. They answered all of questions and were accommodating. And it was so easy to return the vehicle with signage present. I would definitely use them again!

  The employee lied to my face saying that the optional insurance was required when in fact it wasn’t. I just got off the phone with customer service saying they’ll take 50% off the charges which is entirely unacceptable seeing as that employee KNOWINGLY lied to my face! Sixt has chosen to make a little over $100 now but lose a customer for life. Proceed with caution!

  I recently switched from Hertz, where l was a President's Circle Gold Member, and I don't regret it. The level of service I've received from Sixt has been superior. The cars are consistently cleaner and I've probably just been lucky, but I've received upgrades each time I've rented without asking. At this point, I plan to stick with Sixt.

  I have always been very satisfied with the service SIXT provides, both in the US and internationally. However, my recent experience at the SJC location was extremely disappointing. As a Platinum member, I reserved a full-size sedan for one week. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was told that there were no sedans available. Instead, I was offered only a Jeep Wrangler or a Hyundai Venue. Even more frustrating, I was asked to pay an additional $350 if I wanted a BMW 3 Series. I specifically reserved a full-size sedan because I do not want to drive an SUV. It is unacceptable to tell a customer that the reserved vehicle category is unavailable and then ask them to pay extra to resolve a problem caused by overbooking or poor fleet management. Why should I be responsible for an issue that was entirely on SIXT’s side? This experience has been extremely disappointing, especially considering my Platinum status. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location and will encourage others to consider other rental companies instead.
