I had canceled the appointment using the AI. I did so because I had fraud on my CC and needed to get it cleared. So until I went to the bank, I had no way of paying for the appointment. Imagine my surprise when the technician knocked on the door to inform me the job was complete. I did not even know he was there. In fact, when I got the text saying he was on his way, I called and confirmed the appointment was canceled. So there I was with no credit card no way to pay and the windshield I had not authorized already installed. It was rather embarrassing.
To make matters worse, I found out when I got in the car, the hardwired dash camera and other items permanently attached to the windshield at time of purchase we're not reinstalled. In fact, they still are not reinstalled. I have roughly 2 hours into trying to get to somebody live to schedule the install to be completed. At this point, I still have not been able to schedule a follow up appointment.
I would use anybody other than Safelite at this point, and I am an insurance agent and sales manager for a large multi State firm. I am telling all of my customers and my sales team is telling their customers to try to avoid Safelite where possible

After friends and family recommendations, I opted to have my windshield replaced by Safelite Auto Glass repair. Unfortunately, Safelite changed my appointment the morning of the original confirmed appointment date . . . I was not asked, but told with a recording. From there it was a nightmare trying to reach a human to confirm that the recording I received was accurate and why the appointment was changed, etc. Overall, the repair was great, but the Customer Service system is terrible.

Although my windshield was completed in a timely manner… I would’ve appreciated if my belongings were handled properly.
My rosary was in pieces, how did this happen? I wrapped it around my rear view mirror. If there was an issue taking it off, have me do it. Why would someone destroy my rosary and NOT even tell me. I just noticed today as I am getting a car wash that my rosary was left in the cup holder.
Very disappointed

Be warned, they have horrible customer service. Be prepared for a novel.
Had a window replaced through insurance work and immediately after the work was done the technician initiated a warranty service because he said the bend in the glass was off. So then the warranty tech came out a few weeks later and disputed what the original tech noticed/wrote up.
He didn't do anything and went on his way. I delt with the slow roll of the window (operates about half speed of the other side) for a while until finally I got fed up and decided to have the warranty repair double checked.
I tried calling to no avail getting the run around and got lost in their 888 system. No way to call an actual shop and talk to anyone that gives a care.
So I walked into a location near my work and told them the history and scheduled an appt.
The day of my appt I get a text saying my appt is at a different location than where I booked. Which is wierd because I specifically mentioned to the lady that this was close to work so it's convenient.
Anyhow they ended up taking me in at my originally scheduled location after a little back and forth.
Came back to pick it up and their statement was that nothing was wrong. They asked me what the initial warranty writeup said and I replied, you should have the work history in your system right?
The tech kept going back and forth with me. Oh it's the motor. I asked if I replace the motor and problem still there will safelite reimburse me? He stuttered and continued back to his story that he didn't notice anything wrong except that it rolls up and down slowly. Hello, yes that is the reason I'm bringing it back.
So I said ok I'll take it up with corporate. Got my keys and walked out. Noticed my door (the one they worked on) wasn't fully closed. Got in and tried to close it and it didn't close.
Went back in talked to front desk guy (totally oblivious and not willing to do his job) and he was like oh what's wrong. I said I'm not sure you tell me. When I dropped it off the door closed and now it doesn't. Upon me further inspecting, I noticed a wire and connector hanging out of the bottom (see pic).
He reluctantly said ok I'll have him take a look.
Totally nonchalant, horrible customer service and they do not hold up to their word of LIFETIME WARRANTY.
I will be trying to navigate the phone web to contact corporate and follow up. This is ridiculous.
