  Such a breeze. Came to my house and the service was done within a hour. The technician, Alex, informed me about the whole process. Very great worker. Thanks for everything.! Highly recommend

  This was the worst service experience I've ever had. Safelite came to my home to repair a chip in my Camry's windshield, and a couple of days later the glass cracked all the way across. The tech said the pressure from the repair can cause that, so I scheduled a replacement for a week later, again at my home. The agent told me the full cost of the repair would be credited toward the new windshield. On the day of the replacement, the tech installed the windshield, then I learned he couldn't recalibrate the car's safety features. I'd have to book a follow-up at the shop, and the earliest appointment was four days out. My wife drives this car over 100 miles a day to work, and Safelite's own website says it's unsafe to drive with the safety features off. I wasn't willing to put her or our kids at risk. I called Safelite customer service, and they said the only option was to escalate to the shop. They tried the shop three times and never reached anyone. I called twice with the same result. When I finally drove there in person, someone was sitting at the front desk, not on the phone and not helping anyone. I explained everything, and the rep said they'd take a look but we'd probably have to reschedule for the recalibration. He also told me it was fine to drive with the safety features off, which contradicts Safelite's own website. I told him I wouldn't do that. If Safelite can't recalibrate at a customer's home, why offer in-home service at all? The first agent should have told me to bring the car to the shop. And if the tech had any doubt on install day, he should have stopped and told me to bring it in. Honestly, I'd rather drive with a fully cracked windshield than one with the safety features disabled. I would not recommend this shop, or Safelite. The service and communication were terrible.

  The technician that came out was awesome. I called at 11am and had my chip repaired by 1pm. Maybe not typical but the tech was great in communicating with eta and the procedure. Super awesome.
