  Reiterating my review from yelp onto Google as I would advise people to stay away from Alamo as they like to withhold your money for some reason. Alamo has been nothing but unhelpful and confusing. In May, my friends and I rented a car from this location (SJC) and the employee somehow messed up the paperwork and inputted us at an airport in Charleston. They ended up charging us the incorrect amount and we were supposed to get $1,300 refunded back to us. It is now JULY, and after talking to THREE managers (Sal, Josh, Martin), we still have not received our refund and they stopped replying. How is it that we’ve been in contact with three managers and this is still an issue after a month and a half?

  This is a specific shoutout to Dan in the garage. OMG! So positive, warm and a breath of fresh air. He gave me his card and reminded me if I had any issues with the car ro reach out! Never had anyone do this. And when I returned my car, he remembered me! Who knew someone could make me smile renting a car? Thanks Dan!

  After skipping around between the various “cheap” rental companies, and a few of the majors, I decided to give Alamo a shot. I’m glad I did! I use their “skip the counter” feature which lets me complete all of the business up front when I book. When I get to the lot, I go straight to the cars. So easy!

  Excellent rental experience from start to finish. The process was quick and efficient, the vehicle was clean and well-maintained, and everything was ready when I arrived. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made the entire experience hassle-free. On top of that, the pricing was very competitive and offered great value compared to other rental companies.

  Editing ratings based on latest updates- After nearly a month , I was provided refund of unauthorized charges. I can give Alamo another try next time I would rent , hoping that I will not experience this again and alamo would take care of customer requests in timely manner. Thank you. Do not trust this company with your credit card. My experience with Alamo has been an absolute nightmare regarding unauthorized charges and nonexistent customer service. ​I rented a vehicle from them, and everything went smoothly during the return. The staff confirmed everything was perfect, and I walked away with my official rental agreement and a final invoice showing a $0.00 balance due. I thought that was the end of it. ​However, a couple of weeks later, I noticed an unauthorized charge from Alamo on my credit card statement. There was absolutely no explanation, no email, and no breakdown provided for why this money was taken. ​I have reached out to their billing and customer service departments three separate times to get this sorted. Every single time, the representative tells me the exact same script: "We have escalated this issue, and a manager will reach out to you shortly." Guess what? No one has ever reached out. It has been week of radio silence, zero emails, and zero callbacks. They are perfectly content taking your money without permission and then completely ghosting you when you ask for accountability. ​I have all the paperwork, the original invoice, and proof that everything was cleared upon return.
