What a crummy experience. Bought a $23.99 replacement headlight bulb for one of our vehicles last week. Installed it (a real pain in the rear), tested it, it seemed to work fine. The next day, my husband drives that vehicle to work, and the bulb isn't working. Pulled it out this afternoon, the entire bulb was cloudy (it wasn't when installed) clearly defective. Brought it in to exchange with my receipt and was met with "we can't return used bulbs." Ma'am, it's not used, it's defective. She was incredibly dubious, let me know she didn't believe me with her facial expressions and body language. She walks over to an older coworker who was working with a customer, he says "we can't return used bulbs," to which I replied "it's not used, it's defective. We replaced it last weekend, I used gloves while handling it, it's not my first rodeo, worked fine when we tested it, my husband drove it to work the next morning and it didn't work." Dude BEGRUDGINGLY said they could do the exchange; the girl helping us never said another word to us except "sign the screen," no "thank you," no "have a nice day," no "sorry," nothing. If I'm going to try and run one over on a company, I can assure you I'm going to do it for more than $23.99...to be treated like legit criminals when WE were the one's inconvenienced by having installed a defective bulb, having to go BACK to the store, and then have to REINSTALL the bulb was a real slap in the face. Getting the bulb seated in an Elantra when you don't have tiny hands is a chore. I have resisted ordering from online companies in favor of supporting local brick and mortar, but I'll rethink that decision next time I need something for one of my vehicles.
