  I’ve been coming here for a long time for my oil changes, and I’m always happy with the service. Everyone who works here is friendly, helpful, and professional. They always explain things clearly and never make me feel uncomfortable. I’m usually in a hurry, and they always do their best to get my oil change done quickly. Everyone is so welcoming and energetic—they always say hello when I arrive and wave goodbye when I leave. Great service and great people. Highly recommend!

  Usually go to the smaller shops, but I appreciate the convenience of being able to get my vehicles serviced on weekends. Every visit was positive, and watching the staff work borders on seeing a pit crew at work. They are efficient and I enjoy hearing them coordinate and work at each bay. Price is reasonable if you take into account that they can get you in and out at a fraction of the typical service time.

  Excellent Service! I have a great experience every-time I get my oil changed. The entire team was thorough, caring, and professional from start to finish.   Excellent oil change experience. My car was overdue for an oil change and I am too busy during the week. I had no appointment and visited on Sunday. There were no typical upsells and no hassles using an official coupon. I simply declined all extra suggested services and experienced no push back. The location has easy parking but it’s setup as a drive-through and the exit is easy. For my vehicle, the published cost for conventional oil for 5 quarts with a filter cost was $58 and my final cost with a coupon was less than $50. They verified my lights operated properly and topped off my windshield washer fluid. My oil was changed using the vacuum extraction method, which avoids the risk of forgetting to close or damaging the oil drain plug. It also avoids the risk of lifting the vehicle. It remained flat on the ground and I could sit in my driver seat throughout the process. The team is professional and efficient. I strongly recommend this location.

  I have been a loyal Valvoline customer for a long time—including at their Merced location while attending university—and I’ve usually been satisfied with their service. However, my experience today at the San Francisco location was completely unacceptable and dangerous. I originally came in just for a routine oil change. While there, the technicians recommended changing my transmission and radiator fluids based on mileage. Trusting their advice, I agreed. Shortly after, a group of workers gathered around my car and informed me that my "coolant tube" was broken and affecting the cooling system, but said they couldn't fix it because they don't do general mechanical repairs. At first, I was appreciative of the heads-up. However, after driving just two miles, a strong burning smell began blowing through my AC vents. When I pulled over and opened the hood, smoke was pouring out and fluid was leaking everywhere. It turns out it wasn't just a generic "coolant tube"—it was the main radiator tube for the very fluid they had just worked on and replaced. They serviced a system with a broken tube, charged me for the fluid replacement, and sent me back onto the road in a compromised vehicle. Had I kept driving without checking, this could have resulted in catastrophic engine damage and serious safety risks. After spending over $300 today on fluid services, I am now forced to pay even more to repair the damaged tube and refill the fluids all over again. Valvoline pushes add-on services for profit, but clearly lacks basic care for customer safety and quality control. I will definitely be refraining from using this specific location’s services in the future and I recommend anyone from doing so too.
