  Rental car center is conveniently located on the airport train loop. Utilizing the desk on the third floor near the rental vehicles made getting a vehicle and getting underway easy. The rental vehicle was clean and in good shape. Free SiriusXM radio would have been a very nice benefit and place the company above the other rental car companies. Returning the vehicle was relatively easy due to the signage along the route from the 101.

  I had an excellent experience with National Car Rental at Portland International Airport, thanks in large part to Sarah and her manager. They both provided exceptional customer service and went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled quickly and professionally. There was an unexpected issue with my bill, but Sarah and her manager promptly looked into it and corrected it with absolutely no hassle. I truly appreciated how friendly, responsive, and accommodating they were throughout the entire process. It’s refreshing to encounter people who genuinely care about providing great customer service. Sarah and her manager definitely set the bar. Thank you for the great experience.

  The rental experience was fine, the vehicle was fine (clean and new) and the people were all nice. It was just really annoying that they would not accept the corporate card that made the reservation to also pay the invoice, so I had to use my personal card and submit a (not small) business expense. This took an easy 5-star down to a 3 straight away. Bottom line- if you can prepay hotel stays this way, you should be able to do it with a car rental.

  The email to confirm my reservation was $78/daily. When I returned rental I saw $104/daily on receipt. I spoke with representatives at return lot and she was able to bring it down to $91/daily. I planned and budgeted for $78/daily. Dishonest on National’s part. I will not return nor will I recommend national. I should’ve used Turo, which would’ve been cheaper and more convenient. Very disappointed

  We’d flown in from DFW for Car Week and rented a BMW convertible. When we arrived at the National SFO Emerald Aisle area, there was a bit of confusion about the location of our car. Candy saw what was going on and immediately jumped into action. Not only did she quickly retrieve our car, she took the time to show us how to operate the convertible top and made sure we were comfortable with everything and happy with our rental before we left. Candy’s friendliness and extra effort were a great way to start a very special week. Thank you, Candy, for taking such good care of us!
